Just watched the first 2 matches including last years runner up Whitlock and none of the 4 that have played or are playing would get past the 1st round of the PDC because they cant hit their doubles quick enough ie they need too many arrows at them.

Yes, that's right, The Embassy starts on Saturday and it promises to be a fantastic tournament as always.

as a starting point - it's not the Embassy any more, and hasn't been for a couple of years now.

Having said that Frimley Green is the home of darts, but that is one of the few things that it holds over the PDC. IMHO (and broken down to the simplest form)

BDO
Better venue (though the food is hideous)
More respectful crowds (silence for the throw)

PDC
Better players.

take your pick.

Frimley Green the "home" of darts? That's questionable given the Embassy used to be played at Jollees in Stoke and the Ally Pally regularly played host the the NOTW finals in front of more than 10,000 fans.

Ally Pally > Frimley Green.
PDC > BDO.

Ally Pally, a giant soulless warehouse.

Frimley Green, an ampitheatre of tension, high drama and thrills and spills between darting gladiators.

Anyone watching Adams v Chisnell at the moment?? As good as anything the PDC served up in the first 2 rounds.

Did anybody hear Bobby George during the afternoon talking to and about Gary Anderson he summed it up well when he said GA and others can play as good as Phil Taylor on occassions but Phil Taylor does it day in day out that is what makes him the champion that he is. Full credit to Ray Stubbs he did speak about Taylors win in the PDC.
