I had to bite the bullet and say I think NSC is in danger of becoming a bit of a " love in " at the moment.

I have noticed particularly over the last year that the forum has become a bit of a lovies chat room or a chat room for Labour activists or a chat room for anti war activists.

I can only put this down to the NSC get togethers. Don't get me wrong as its great to meet up with " names " and have a beer and discuss the love of the Albion but this has meant NSC has lost its cutting edge as an interesting and lively forum.

I think people now just go aong with the majority view incase they upset one of " the faces " they met at the get together or may make things awkward at the next get together. What we have now is a sheep mentality when most of NSC are too afraid to put an alternative point of view across especially when one of the " big names " we all know who they are, put something on a thread, people just agree.

Its like a 4 line party whip.

Frankly it is making NSC boring. I know my viewpoints are different to some others but there is no lively debate just the old usual retoric and history lessons from people trying to impress us with their knowledge.

After 4 years I am sorry to say this but its true.

SADDO!!

On NSC for over two decades...
Lovely bit of NSC navel inspection going on I see.

Nothing wrong with the place if you ask me. I read with interest the many diverse discussions. It's a bit like a pub really, deep political conversations mixed up with talking bollocks...., and the Albion.

I don't know any of you personally, but I'm happy to hear what you have to say (whether it's shite or not).

yeah it always goes through a shit period about this time

whenever theres no football this place gets boring so we make our own entertainment

i agree with Biscuits earlier post on a different thread (even though he called me! (moi  ) the trouble maker !!!) about it not being a totally teenager thing :clap2: , its usually people who should know better *points in different directions*

at the end of the day ,yes this is a message board to talk football *actually ,better check sign* yes it is ,but its also a place to have a bit of fun

so theres a clique , big deal ! does it REALLY bother you ? seriously ? if so a deep look at the big outdoors is needed for you

relax people it WILL get better:smokin:

Blimey, you go out for a convivial golfing afternoon followed by a social event (I can't say at whose house because there wasn't a quiche in sight) come back and what do you find?

Continued wailing and gnashing over whether or not NSC has gone to the dogs and and whether or not people should "get out more".

It's hardly ever happened before either...

only in the close seasons of 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003......

Gareth there are just as many people on this board who share your view on the war as don't. Anyone with eyes can see that. The problem is, your arguments all to soon descend into the verbal weaponry of a tabloid article with as much ground to stand on as a man on roller skates in a swamp.

Disagree with gareth 'straight talk no bull' glover you are merely a member of the nsc pc brigade, marching to the same tune as everyone else whilst our hero forges his own way forward...

do you really believe you're not one of the sheep you seem to think everyone else on here is?

ffs, nsc is a message board. why do people start threads like this?

personally i enjoy the political stuff, i like looney's posts (prior to subsequent partridge ownerage ofcourse), the nsp 'clique' (whatever that is) make me laugh, i like looking at pictures of people's trips to games, i like the polls and various funny links.

oh yeah, and the football.

its simple: you don't like a thread, don't read it

Yes, close seasons bring out the snippy sneers and angry retorts at crap subjects and threads. Not so much now though, and I would put it down to a united front in favour of getting Falmer, plus the extraordinary and unexpected PROMOTION that went very bloody close!

I dunno about 'love-in' exactly, but there has been some spiritual joint-passing going on I think. Who wants a toke? Anyone here not stoned ? :smokin:

why was NSC so good "back in the day"
does it matter if there are a bunch of teenagers on here? i think we are all guilty of taking the piss out of chavs, saying marvellous scenes (scenes to marvel at), playing the football volley game, bash the penguin game or doing something or saying something that has appeared on here to people you worlk with and socialise with.

i am friends with people in the "clique" and i dont mind the fact that i know them.
i am friends with people not in the clique
i am friends people that take the piss out of the clique
i made friends with a whole football team through this website
i made friends with the "group" that call themselves the daft bints
i have no idea about tuna

if i am in the clique, why do people that rip it out of them still talk to me when im about town or at albion games. yo u know who you are!

i think that it has all blown out of proportion and no one really hates each, but they only do it cause they can and its hip and trendy!

i find the diversity of the differnt people refreshing. It can only be a good image for the club surely, that people of different ages, polictial views, sexual oriantation, social backgrounds etc etc can all get together, argue the toss about complete crap, YET still all join together behind a common goal, that of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club.
