Its cheaper for one reason,.... and one reason only....................... a county cricketer, will only earn between £30 and £200k per season/year depending on caps and type of contract etc,.... (ECB centrally contracted players get more of course)........ compared to Prem players on anything between £50k and £300k PER WEEK as we know.

This

someomes gotta pay David Moyes off

For me it was even better. One of my happiest sporting days ever. I can remember forlornly heading to the bar at the interval surrounded by happy lancastrians convinced they had done enough to win, only for Kirtley to come out and turn the whole game on it's head. What a fantastic day that was.

We got surrounded by a group of Lancashire fans on the train who told us that they were going to show us "why they are the best one day side in the country." Oh how I enjoyed giving it back to them after the match.

THIS and the massive subsidy that county crickets gets directly from the ECB and their £100 a day ODI / Test Match tickets and TV revenues. County cricket would not exist as we know it without the ECB funding.

If you are a member of an SCB-affiliated cricket club, then you can get 2-for-1 Premier memberships for £250. This gives 2 people (and the tickets are legally transferable)free entrance to all Sussex home games, entry to Pavilion and members areas at both home and away games (eg Pavilion at Lords) plus 2 free day pass memberships for friends. Incredible value.

One benefit of working for myself, sunny day, get up early, work until lunchtime and then take laptop down the County Ground (they even have free wifi so you can keep up with emails).
