they dont have it as breaking news.. ???

checked a city forum they all seem to believe it.

Well. They originally announced it saying an arabian site had said that the man city owner told "freinds" that kaka had signed. They then got in touch with MCFC and they poured scorn on it. None the wiser.

Worth 107 million to a team though?

City need a defence first - you build a team from the back.

I cannot wait for the first time he gets the reducers put on him playing on a wet night in Hull

The point is ,that they fail to think important......the more you spend ...the more you want.....this is never actived.....and this is failure.Team spirit is what matters, not expensive imports (BHA beware )

The whole thing is just obscene !!

Here we are in a global economic meltdown. people are losing jobs & living hand to mouth existances & then they spunk 100 mil up the wall & 500k a week .

its disgusting!!

If they don't spend their money on Man City & Kaka, they'll only piss their money up the wall on some other obscene project like a skyscraper in Dubai. I'm sure it makes no difference to them.

Only for top level players, or are you suggesting we will be getting an absurd fee for Glenn Murray etc?

but if he try to sign someone like Murray, selling clubs would demand far more inflated transfer fee for their player, because otherwise they would feel that their player is under valued,

If Championship/league one player prices increase, that only means that these clubs are getting richer , which can't be a bad thing surely?

for even further into debt, and end up with a number of clubs going bankrupt as players will feel under paid by comparision, would someone on £2k a week at a first division club think that he is getting a fair wage for his skill and ability, or that he is really 250 times worse a player than Kaka?

how one player who just kicks a ball around for a living can be worth £100 million and £500k a week wages for what is basically a leisure activity yet, someone whose job has meaning, such as an emergancy service worker gets a tiny fraction of that wage for potentially saving lives?

people struggling to get by in the current financial crisis will think its obscene that someone will be earning 10 times the national average yearly wage a week !! (and other players will end up demanding higher wages too,) are they likely to continue to to spend money on matchday tickets etc? i would say no.
