The Poyet honeymoon is over

In the cold light of day after what can politely be called the worst performance in recent memory, its time to take off the rose tinted Gus specs and realise that our manager is not the ' special one ' That, at the moment, he has limited tactical ability. He is not experienced enough to be able to spot players who can make the transition from a lower division to a higher level. He makes emotional statements to the press about his passion for playing a particular way and then allows his players to play exactly the way that he purports to despise. And then, publicly criticises them for not being brave enough. He is attracted to ' lightweight, flair ' players and has filled the side full of them, ignoring the fact that the Championship is all about pace and physicality. He drops a talented young centre half, who, like himself is learning all the time and replaces him with a none-too-tall right back. We have 5 goalkeepers at the club, 4 of whom now appear surplus to requirements. We appear to have lost all direction in how to play at this level. The manager is changing his mind every 5 minutes and can't seem to cope with injuries and suspension. Instead of concentrating all his efforts on the ' engine room ', the midfield, he is tinkering with defence and attack all the time. We are ' carrying ' players, who are not up to top 10 Championship standard ( Painter, Harley and Sparrow to name just three )
Gus has to learn quicker than he is. Last night was totally unacceptable. It was abysmal and against a very poor side. We are barely a win above the very lowest reaches of the table and are now starting to look over our shoulders, rather than at the top. A relegation struggle is not on Mr Bloom's agenda and he has been more than generous in bowing to every one of Poyet's whims.
The honeymoon is over....will the marriage survive its first crisis.

i don't buy this. yes we are in a bad run, but we have been competitive in every game, just struggling to find a cutting edge.
any team with our injury list and size of squad would struggle (we are fielding retired players!)
tinkering is inevitable if we keep losing players in the warm-up!
some signings have been disappointing (so far) but we have seen how Gus can eventually get the best from players (Noone/Bridcutt/El Abd etc)
who says we need to be top 10 standard? This is a long term project and the only real setback would be relegation. He has to give the players who got us up a proper chance to shine in this league.
last night was awful - but look at the team - it was unrecognisable from even the weekend.
Yes the honeymoon is over - but who has a two year honeymoon? No need to be too down - i have every confidence that we will find our feet and start winning games again very soon, playing great football and operating from a foundation that means we could stay at a high level for many years.
