For me, that video firstly shows the police handle the original arrest v badly - going up close to the two blokes from behind and without realising that they were both proficient in hand to hand fighting and they (the police) got their arses kicked. And in reaction in some ways those two "boys" were lucky- because in how many other countries would those two have been shot dead? I thought armed police firstly announce their presence as "armed police" not creep up behind

I do not think that paints the copper in a better light at all, if anything I think it makes him look even worse. Upon closely viewing it a few times: 1. The copper throws the first punch and 2. He has no idea the female offers had been struck.

He lashed out, kicking him in the head because ‘he’ had been punched (by both blokes.) He was in no way defending or inflicting retribution out of any concern for the females. He isn’t even aware at the point he kicks him of their assault/injury. He doesn’t seem to show any concern for the women at all tbh, he’s too preoccupied with the bloke that initially got the better of him, and inflicting retribution with his tazer…once the bloke has clearly thought better of it, stepped back and relented that is.

This is like VAR and analysing the shit out of it without being there real time. All the noise and commotion not taken into account watching it at home in silence with your slippers on.

Anyone...and I mean anyone, would be unable to act in an entirely rational matter after that. His brain and thoughts must have been all over the place. He did brilliantly well to eventually retrieve the situation.

2. I would have done the same and worse if I was the copper. IMO (I’m not a copper) he showed considerable restraint, that I wouldn’t have been able to. (Probably why I’m not a copper!) So I’m not judging the bloke!!

So don’t assume to think I’m apportioning blame on the copper or in anyway defending the absolute cnnts that ultimately seem to get exactly what they deserved.

I’m just stating facts. The copper punched out first, if you look closely, at which point the guy in the grey lets loose.

I was previously defending the copper entirely, under the assumption he kicked the bloke for punching his female colleague! I now see he does not have that defence, but I’m still not suggesting his actions aren’t defendable…Idiot!

I await your apology!

Oh, and yes, I have! More than once. (…although I’m FAR from proud it, I had many a ‘scuffle’ in my youth! Thankfully coming out on top, against the odds, on most occasions due to twenty years of Judo!)

These things aren’t always black and white, or cut and dry! Did the copper cover himself in glory? No. Did the blokes they’re attempting to arrest (badly) ultimately get what they deserve? Yes! I just have a more objective, unbiased view on the events as they unfolded, with very little desire to condemn or defend either side. There is blame on both parts, IMO.

The real world isn’t champagne socialism. Jumping on places like NSC and being faux-outraged and trying to cause division based on race is absolutely disgusting.

I wouldn’t go as far as to ask for a permanent NSC ban, but I’d certainly expect a full apology and proof provided of self-improvement in order to be allowed to post further.

Sorry but you cannot condone the police in this instance and ANOTHER racist attack from them too.

I'm not convinced that an authoritarian police state where violence and confiscation of private owned evidence is really the way forward right now.

We should have more police and they should all be highly trained (and better paid) and any kind of violence from them should be an absolutely last resort. They should all have body cams. Nothing is wrong with the public filming them, in fact, it should be encouraged - and obviously they should never have the right to confiscate public videos, or be allowed to prevent them from filming.

Yes, there was an element of racism involved, not for the first time with the police.

Surely the best thing to do is for Manchester police to stamp on the head of a white person at the airport and then…problem solved, no more racist accusations.

Wasn’t going to comment on this but feel I would like to make the point that all organisations have dick heads. My first reaction, as a retired Prison Officer, was that the Police Officer proves he is one by kicking the guy in the head. You do not kick anyone in the face who is going to end up in court.
