Sorry, didn't see a thread about this on here, so mods feel free to merge.

I binged the (8) episodes over the last few days. One of the best series I've ever watched. Colin Farrell under a Katie Price-amount of plastic proths is incredible, but there's SO much more to it than that. The entire episode covering Sophie Falcone's years of purgatory inside Arkham is worth watching the series alone for. Its so rich in violence, drama and phenomenal dialogue, its almost Tarantino-esque.

Dark, violent, grim and with stuff you just do not see coming. Then, that final scene and the end panning frame when it closes....WOW. Just epic television.

TV at its very best.

Finished it about an hour ago. Not much more I can add to your mini review. Class.

Where is this available to watch? Sounds good and I love Batman and it’s lore

Well, I watched it on Sky Atlantic. But its probably floating around elsewhere.

Batman does not appear at all, its more of an origin. Until...

Yeah, Batman himself to me has always been the least interesting aspect of, well, Batman.

You'll be chewing your fist at Penguin, and what he does in his early life and then later. How he becomes what he is. Pure evil.

Its a sensational series.
Isn’t he called Oswald Cobblepot in the comics? I hope they renamed him or it might be hard to take a gritty origin tale seriously

Finished it today and was superb particularly the last 3 episodes. Some great performances and particularly from the girl who plays Sophia. For me it had a gritty darkness with some real OMG moments.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Is this something to do with Batman?

Not that I actually care.

It's good but it's not in the elite sopranos , succession ,mad men bracket, there's no real lovable engaging characters and the writing sucks at times. 7/10
It's a very different show to those you mention. For me there's not much comes anywhere near close to The Sopranos, The Wire and Sons of Anarchy. I actually thought Breaking Bad was patchy
