Bangura was very, very lucky to stay on. He had no chance of winning that ball, but just launched himself at the player leading with his arm, completely flattening the guy. I was pretty convinced he was going.

Have to say I thought that was a straight red as well as he went straight in with the elbow.

I felt it was a pen at the time, although I've not seen it on the tellybox yet. Defenders USUALLY get away with those, but it was clumsy, he was climbing all over him, and it was totally unnecessary as it wasn't really in a dangerous position. I don't think we can have any complaints.

Agreed. I thought the ref could have gone either way but was probably as irritated as me by how unnecessary it was to be all over their attacker, and gave it to teach him a lesson.

The complaint I've got is that exactly the same thing happened in the second half, but we DIDN'T get the pen.

I was sat right in front of the incident. Church backed into Heath making look like he was clambering all ober him. He then feigned to crumple up and seeing the ref he appealed. Ref gave the penalty and Church turned round to the Orient fans winked and grinned.

On saturday from the opposite corner of the ground I didn't have any complaints.

I've now seen the highlights on Virgin and it was never ever a penalty. Having said that, I can't believe our goal was allowed; Owusu jumps into the keeper as he's going to punch it. You'd expect 9 times out of 10 that would be disallowed. I thought the referee was poor; for some reason he felt he had to book anyone that comitted any kind of foul and it looks like he got a couple of the key decisions wrong.
