Tuesday's debacle against Walsall puts added pressure on United in tomorrow's vital clash against Brighton. United's woeful display against a mediocre Walsall was hugely disappointing. Lack of control in midfield, slack defensive work and the inability to deliver a decent final ball, all contributed to the horror show. With three home games in eight days, one has to question the decision to make Tuesday's game against Oldham a category A game, which means the punters having to fork out up to £32 to watch third division fare. Hopefully normal service will be resumed tomorrow.
Prediction: Leeds United 3 Brighton 1

The defeat to Walsall in midweek was unfortunately no great surprise, not due to the quality of the opposition but because Leeds now appear vulnerable to any opposition especially from set pieces. I have bemoaned the lack of height and power in the squad all season long and there appears to be a reluctance to shoot, Beckford apart, when close to goal and if you can deny him scoring opportunities, the job is half done. The criminal lack of activity early in the transfer window is coming home to roost and the next 10 weeks will find show if Mr Grayson is the real deal we all hoped. The result and performance against Brighton is now pivotal.
Prediction: Leeds United 5 Brighton 1

Simon Grayson branded United's performance on Tuesday as unacceptable and I, and the other 18,000 inside Elland Road, would agree. I'm scratching my head and wondering, what exactly happened to our defence – which looked so robust a mere three months ago? Why can Casper seemingly only turn it on in the FA Cup? But with Colchester now breathing down our necks, we need to start winning again. Leeds United like to do things the hard way and if we are to be promoted automatically, the hard way it will be. One word – WIN!
Prediction: Leeds United 4 Brighton 0

Wallsall was bad, really bad. After solid performances of late we needed to build on the momentum and put a message out to our rivals with a convincing victory. Sadly, we were inept in every department and devoid of any creativity, though most worrying was the apparent lack of effort or fight. I bet Norwich are having a chuckle while Charlton, and now Colchester, will probably now feel they can squeeze into the automatic promotion place. Kisnorbo is the powerhouse that we are desperately missing. Come back Paddy, your club needs you more than ever!
Prediction: Leeds United 3 Brighton 0

I have managed to put a mental block on what actually happened on Tuesday so that I can predict a positive outcome tomorrow against the Seagulls. Something clearly isn't right at the moment but we have a terrific motivator in Simon Grayson who can sort it out. Let's not forget that we are still in the automatic spots and have everything in our own hands. The atmosphere was dreadful inside Elland Road on Tuesday so it's time to crank up the volume and really cheer the team on. Three points and a narrow victory awaits us tomorrow.
Prediction: Leeds United 3 Brighton 0

bad form or not, you'd still have to have your money on them beating us soundly

Since when was 3-0 a narrow victory?!

I love how over optimisic they are. I think we'll manage to sneak a 2-1 win.

me too and i am pretty sure they haven't been watching the same leeds i have.

a dull 0-0 in the freezing cold, just a sending off to add some excitement to an otherwise dreary day.

I firmly believe we have a chance in this game, and if we do lose I think it will only be by one and not a thrashing.

Leeds played us off the pitch at Withdean, we couldn't get near them. It will take an extraordinary turn around to get anything out of this game. My prediction:

Leeds 1-2 Brighton (Murray, Forster)

Stopping Beckford shouldn't be too much of a problem.

It's stopping his service that is going to be the issue as he is a clinical finisher and IMO offers little else.

Pay no attention to these daft bastads above, without Kismynobo we are a run of the mill downt pit division 3 club just like Brighton. I can see us leading at half time but fading toward the end of the match and Brighton snatch 2 late goals sending the locals home with glum faces and rolled up newspapers to beat the whippet to death with, any road up see thee at thee taps
