Because I had my 8 and 5 year olds with me, had not used P&R before and didn't want to be stuck around for hours queuing for a bus. Plus I had every confidence in the result. That OK with you?!

Don't blame you. But you gave the kids a magical Albion night to remember.

I would if I could but I am disabled and have no option - would love to be able to walk to the P&R or use the train - its no fun being in a wheelchair - might I suggest you try it!

The park n ride to Cockcroft on Saturday were helping wheelchair-bound fans on, using the middle door.

Left at 119 minutes, got on a Brigthon train then the 10.33 train to Preston Park and a short hop to my door. In fact we got home earlier than the Gillingham match!

Too far from the sun
Used P&R at Mithras House. Left northern end of WSL at the end of the game, brisk walking to the P&R queue, straight on a bus and back to the car. Got home in Goring just after 11pm. Had a bar been open I would have stayed for a swift celebratory pint but they didn't seem to want to take any more money last night. So far for me the transport has exceeded my (admittedly low) expectations. I certainly won't risk trains for a game where extra time/pens might be on the cards. Might give it a go for the Leeds game though.

To those upset about the time to get out of Benett's field (able bodied only):

1. All I ever saw from the club about parking emphasised that it would be expensive and 'sustainable' transport would always be given priority - I almost got the impression that the club were providing it through gritted teeth
2. It was fairly widely known (or so I thought) that when LDC gave permission to use Benett's Field there were strings attached, including not letting out any cars until the buses had all gone
3. If you're happy to pay £15 per match to park why not instead park a suitable distance from the ground near a good road junction and spend that money on a cab to/from your car instead? You still won't have to walk far and you'll get home a lot quicker
