I cannot see how then can play the other 39 and not Seagulls SKA. Unless for some reason they deicde to ban it, which will be even better.

He said last week that he could have got it from Skint, but didn't want to.

I'm immensely encouraged to discover that hardly any NSC Users are such regular listeners to this programme that they can tell us the format it takes, like whether they play everything or just some of them.

Whatever happened to Alan Freeman?

Southern FM play the network chart a la my earlier thread - it's a farce and NOT official...
I think it's worth sending them a mail even though they have no control as it's broadcast from London

The format has been the same for the best part of 20 years

No they changed it about 18 months ago. Up to that point they would play every track from the Top 40, when they redid the chart they just played everything in the Top 20 with a few records from 40-21 plus Album Charts which conveninetly meant playing extra tracks during the LP bit because they only played what they wanted and ignored all other Album new entries as well as doubling up on playlisted artists, so you'd end up with two Robbie Williams tracks.

Perhaps I'm being old fashioned but if you have a chart you stick to it no matter what else is in it. You start undermining it if you don't which is what happened to Top of the Pops.
