Forget all the shit that is posted on here. This is the place for those of us with at least half a brain.

I'll start. Wilkins was taking us places after been given the time to do it and was stupidly sacked.

Poyet is going to take us places BUT NEEDS TIME. The time to judge him is at the end of next season. If we have had a push for the play offs or better then that will do fine.

Shouldn't this thread be renamed "Rehashing of old threads that's only going to turn into binfests even though I'm asking for sensible posts only"?

Always line your stomach with a glass of milk before going on the piss. Make sure you have something to eat too. Sensible, that is.

Now I'm off to make a cup of tea.

Wilkins lost the dressing room. End of. Apparently.

If "losing the dressing room" is what it takes to finish 7th, here's hoping Poyet loses the dressing room as soon as possible!

Refs do make mistakes, but they are only human, and aren;t doing it deliberately. The players make a damn sight MORE mistakes that affect teh outcome of any match.

Starting to see similarities in Poyet and Wilkins. First managerial job, trying to change the way we play after coming in mid season ish, slipping down the league but every possibility of a mid table finish. Come pre-season he gets his own players in and has a whole load of time to get them to play his way. The only difference I think is that Poyet will have more money than Wilkins was given

Same thing apparently happened to Roy Keen at Sunderland but he still got them in the prem and they are still there.

Always sit forwards when shitting, it relaxes the anal muscles and will mean you are not leaking too much when you're old

Avoid getting caught cheating by simply not telling your girlfriend/wife about the other woman/man/sheep/donkey.

Common sense, that.

Refs do make mistakes, but they are only human, and aren;t doing it deliberately. The players make a damn sight MORE mistakes that affect teh outcome of any match.

But a good example yesterday of poor refereeing and lining at the Palace-Villa game.

In the first half a ludicrous offside decision against a Villa player who ran on to the ball in the left corner and was blown offside even though he was way behind play when the ball sort of trickled through.

Then of course the second Villa goal was from a corner which should NEVER have been awarded, the Palace goalie punched it out, directly onto the head of a Villa player and the ball went behind. No wonder Warnock was furious afterwards.

These two incidents demonstrate to me that the traditional ref/two linos just cannot cope in the modern game which is quicker and with TV more critical. Time for a fourth ref behind a TV screen wired to the main ref who can point out what has been missed.

Appararently the FA are talking of using the FA Cup to experiment with new football rules; IMHO that is what they should do next season, then we won't have these "goals that weren't" type farces.
