Sadly for you I am currently IN the Grand Hotel with the Chairman of the FA and they have just told me you were the worst candidate they have ever interviewed. ........Hang on - what's that? You want me to sign......here, here and.................here. Right - and the first £5million will be in m account when?........Yep fine - cool.

Sorry where was I - Oh that's right Seagull London. You lose. I not only rule myself in - I can break stunning news - I am the new England Manager.

:( apparently because I don't store my savings on Monaco I am not the man for the job

I have just ruled myself out of the running for the England post via Twitter and FB.

I suggest everyone else does the same - unless you want to be HOUNDED by recruitment agents looking for a big pay day.

Have issued a don't come and get me plea and want to make the FA aware to not swoop for me, thanx for not considering me for this post.

I'm ruling myself out of the captaincy because I lack the following basic criteria.

1) I have never had an affair with a team-mates missus
2) I have never been accused of trousering cash for showing people round my club's stadium
3) I have never failed to turn up for a post-match drugs test
4) I have never been charged with assaulting a DJ

However, I did once unwittingly make crass religious comments about the disabled, I have had an affair with someone I work with and always always carry an umbrella when its raining. So I will be applying for the managers job forthwith.

My grasp of the English language is far too good for the vacant manager's position so I'd like to rule myself out.

I'm ruling myself very much IN contention for the England job.

I'm English, which seems to be most people's key criterion, I have a decent knowledge of the game, I've enjoyed multiple successes at both club and international management level and I wouldn't expect £6 million a year.

When do I start?

I wouldn`t normally comment on this sort of speculation but because I think all this fuss is affecting my ability to hang and paint several doors at a school I am currently working in I feel I have to speak out and say....... that although flattered I am not interested in the current England managers job.
Now if you can respect my decision on this I would be most grateful, thanks.

I am ruling myself out due to the difficulty of fitting around school runs.

Had to smile at a caller on the Jeremy Vine show (I usually shout at the radio to most of his caller) - he had registered an interest on the FA website as he coached an under 11's girls team and thought that this would qualify him to coach the "big girls" in the England squad - he did sound Scottish.
