I think we've entered the 'back him or sack him' stage with Potter. We've been a striker light for 2-3 seasons now and the deficiencies are clearly showing.

We need a proven finisher, NOT a utility player, to be a target man, hold the ball up, put those last minute chances away and win us games.

That'll cost, but the financial implications of possible relegation far outweigh the outlay. If we don't score more, we go down.

Give Potter the money and get that player in early January.

It's time for pragmatism.

My argument about the strikers would be this- who would/could we get that is almost certainly better than Wellbeck?

IN.

Should Wilder be sacked, should Dyche be sacked, should Hodgson be sacked?

The strikers need to hit the net and the pressure is to great for the young lads, Maupay went missing today.

We looked jaded today after playing a hard fought Fulham game.

Time to recharge and come out fighting.

Potter out would not only be a knee jerk reaction, it would be more of a jerk reaction.

I don't think uncle Tony is a passive guy. This is his opportunity to influence the situation before it's too late. I think he will give him the bullet. Whether that is the right thing or not I have no idea.

This. Just. Unless Potter is given the money to spend in January, we are in deep :shit:. We need another right wing back. Lamptey was a huge miss today so we need someone with similar attributes who can fill that wingback role in his absence. Veltman is good but he’s more of a centreback/ makeshift right back. And, as ever, we need a striker to partner Welbeck. Maupay is in a rut and needs a run of games coming off the bench.

Can add a LWB and a CB who can head the ball on target to that list.

Voted out for the very first time. If we can't beat a 10 man SUFC when we're at home then what the heck are we doing?

It's not where we are in the league why I think people are saying he should go IMO and almost me too.

It's the style and manner of why we are where we are.

Benitez would be interesting, but can't see it happening. He likes BIG clubs.

Benitez would be amazing but I honestly don't think we could afford to get rid of Potter and all his staff. Also, doubt Ashworth would want Benitez. Benitez is at a level where he wouldn't necessarily want a DofF chipping in.

Sheffield can be tight at the back ie losing games by just 1 goal against Man U. Man City, Liverpool, Leicester to name a few.

Yes, they only have 2 points, but if they can stay tight against the top clubs, they were always going to be hard to breakdown with our strike force.

If people want Potter to go, they do need some idea of who to replace him with (especially as Allardyce is no longer available).

Be careful what you wish for knee jerkers, there is some dross out there in manager land.
Who do people want to replace the coaching staff?

I haven't got time to keep a dossier of European club managers, that's the job of three scouting department. I'd imagine there wasn't one Southampton fan calling for Pochettino or Hassenhuttl to be appointed at the time.

In...with (jingle) bells on.

Unless it was his fault we didn’t bring in a proven goalscorer.
