On the train up now, looking for a spot on constitution hill. Fantasy team picked: Cav, Griepel, Boonen, Modolo. Grivko, Gallopin, Impey, Demare, Terpstra. Come on Cav!

The TV coverage of this race is an unbelievable advert for London. It looks fantastic in the sunshine.

I was wondering what was missing. A clock on the screen to tell us how far they have to cycle, and also a indicator as to the time gaps.
Did anyone at the BBC think of this lol.

They let the dog cross the road just in front of Andre Greipel. Clever.

Watching road cycling for the first time really , although I have often enjoyed the track cycling. Is the pentalon the chasing group?

Not just yet, but it's something you won't want to let creep up. There's a LONG way to go still. If it's under 5 after the last lap of Box Hill then it *should* come back.

I really didn't want to complain about stuff in this Olympics but this RR coverage is rubbish.

Porter knows nothing about the riders and I can only assume that they're not being given any information as boardman is struggling as well.

No on screen time gaps, no info on who's in the groups.

Got to love the Belgium's retro classic jerseys.
Always a banker and always classy.

Watching in the States is proving challenging with the advert breaks (I guess NBC has got to get its billions back) and the 5 hour time difference.

Nice camera shots of them all stopping for a piss in a hedge.

That would have been edited out or pixellated - the Yanks couldn't handle anything that explicit
