I know, that's what I meant. Of all the countries competing, we are arguably the best cycling nation. Yet we can't abide by the rules and end up getting punished as a result.

Our Team Pursuiters have been going fast in Newport aparently.

Did you think the 'drome was as steep as it actually is?

Its fantastic. Absolutely DEAFENING in here whenever Team GB are riding, just as you'd hope. The steepness did quite surprise me actually, I'm at one of the ends (to the left if the home straight is at the bottom of your picture), quite a nice view and a great afternoon so far bar the DQ.

Currently some Belgians are doing a team pursuit qualifier, which is not exactly gripping people (hence my being on here).

I'd never been to a 'drome until I had a track lesson at Calshot.
Walking up from 'underneath' knowing I had to ride round it was very scary.
