Caps rangers looks like it'll be a good one to watch.

It was. Great comeback and real drama by the Rangers in the 5th game. They equalised with 7 seconds to go in regular time to make it 2-2. Then Staal got the winner 90 seconds into OT making it 3-2 in the game and 3-2 in the series. Great TV!

Yes brilliant and in the nights other game, Phoenix beat Nashville 2-1 to win the series 4-1 and will now play LA Kings in the conference final.

The Devils beat the Flyers last night (3-1) to advance to the conference finals. There they will meet either New York Rangers or the Washington Capitals. The Rangers lead the series 3-2 but tonights game is in Washington.

Hoping for the Rangers to clinch the series tonight setting up a local derby between New York and New Jersey for the Conference Final. But still got memories from 2009 when the Capitals came back from a 3-1 deficit against the Rangers and went on to win the series.

The Capitals won and have now forced a seventh game. The Rangers did get it back to 2-1 with a minute to go but there was no second miracle like they had in the 5th game. Anyway they have home advantage at Madison Square, so here's hoping.

Yup final game is indeed in New York this Saturday at 7:30 PM EDT that's 00:30 Sunday morning our time if you want to watch.

Well they made hard work of it but the Rangers finally won the series 4-3 and go on to play the Devils on Monday night in game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final. It’s going to be tough with just one day to recuperate, at least there won’t be as much travelling. There’s quite a bit of bad blood between the Rangers and the Devils which will add to the mix. Really loving these playoffs. NHL is the best American sport to watch IMHO. The level of fitness, skill and dedication shown by the players is way above anything you see in NFL, baseball or basketball. It’s just a shame it doesn’t get the same support the big 3 get.

Yes New York don't believe in making it easy do they? That's 14 games they have played post season (LA on the other hand have played just 9). As Lyndhurst says there is no rest either as they play again Monday and Wednesday (at home) then Saturday and the following Monday (in New Jersey). In the other conference final LA take on Phoenix with the first game in Phoenix tonight.

Poor Tony Kornheiser, his Caps are either going to win everything or are 'choking dogs'.

Neither seem to apply to this series.

Right result but, looked tense stuff!!! Didn't realise NY only have one days rest before NJ game.

Well LA Kings make a great start in their conference final, winning 4-2 in Phoenix!! Next game in Phoenix on Tuesday, tonight it's New York at home to New Jersey, a lovely local derby.

Keeping my fingers crossed for the Rangers. With the current form of the Rangers and the Devils I can see this going to 7 games again like it did the last time they met for a conference final in '94. At least the Rangers have home advantage with 4 of the 7 games to be played at MSG

Well the Rangers easily win game 1 (sort of) 0-0 after two periods then 3-0 in the last!! next game on Wednesday again in New York.

LA thump Phoenix 4-0 in Phoenix (hat trick for Jeff Carter) to take a 2-0 lead in the series. With two homes games to come it's looking very good for the Kings. Carter's hat trick was the first in a playoff game since Wayne Gretzky in 1993. The Kings have now won 7 away games on the bounce.

New Jersey win in New York to tie the series at 1-1, next game in New Jersey on Saturday 6 PM our time.

Looks like the Rangers / Devils series will go the full 7 games. I saw the interview with John Tortorola after the game and his answers were either 'Yes', 'No' or 'I'm not prepared to discuss that'. Must have been taking lessons from Alex Ferguson !

LA win at home (2-1) to go 3-0 up against the Phoenix Cototes and with the next game on Sunday again in LA its looking very good for the Kings. That's 11 wins out of 12 for LA in the playoffs!!!

Rangers win 3-0 in New Jersey all three goals in the last period again (like game 1) to take a 2-1 lead in the series. Second shutout in three games for Lundqvist. Next game in New Jersey on Monday. Just to let you know the NY/NJ game was live on freeview channel 433, don't know if tomorrow's LA/Phoenix will be.

Well Phoenix are starting to make a game of it with a 2-0 win in LA. The Kings still lead the series 3-1 and for the Coyotes to get to the Stanley Cup Final they would have to win all 3 remaining games. Now that would be some comeback.

New Jersey win their home game 4-1 to tie the series at 2-2. That means New york will be playing at least 6 games again after playing 7 in both rounds 1 and 2. Lyndhurst must be pulling his hair out!!! Next game is Wednesday at Maddison Square Gardens, New York.
