National Championship Game Uniforms.

Oregon gone silver and white. Shame, should have some traditional green in such a big game.

For those who do not know, Oregon change their uniforms every game, as the co owner of NIKE Phil Knight is an Oregon alumni.

Green with yellow flashes is their traditional colours.

Rex Ryan has been interviewed by the 49ers, the Falcons (after Mike Smith was fired) and the Bills (after Doug Marrone opted out of his contract last week) for possible head coach positions. Ryan’s old team the Jets has already interviewed Frank Reich (Chargers offense coordinator) and Todd Bowles (Cardinal’s defense coordinator) as possible replacements for Ryan.

IMHO Ryan is past his sell by date and will end up as a pundit with one of the TV networks, possibly ESPN or CBS who he has links with.

Ryan looks a tired broken man after his time in New York. He needs at least a year out, or a DC job at the most.

Rex had 5 hours with the falcons yday and favourite to take the hot seat. I'd be delighted to see Rex at the falcons reckon it'l be a much better job for him!

@Bladders how long do teams usually keep their uniform for? I can't tolerate the Jags half and half helmet.

A long time in the NFL, they rarely change, especially teams from the old pre 1970 NFL. The only major changes recently are the Seahawks (when NIKE took over the contract from Reebok) the Jags, and this season the Buccs.

Teams also have to notify the league before the season starts if they want to use a throwback uniform and for what game. The NFL is pretty strict on any uniform changes.

They have to inform the league as well if they want to change anything then it can take another 2 seasons before it happens.

I'm afraid you're stuck with that monstrosity for a while yet.

That's what I thought, it was being discussed on The Jungle the other day but it wasn't clear. The new logo is a bit lame too IMO, the original Jag was way better. Thought they might bust out a throw back shirt this season as it's the 20th anniversary, but I guess there hasn't been much to shout about:lol:

Shame Joe Jacoby didn't make the finalists list. Would like to see Anderson, Warner, Coryell and Bettis get in out of those who made it. Always a tough call on the HoF so many deserving entrants. Some good candidates will always miss out.

Who do we like in the list of Hall of Fame candidates

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...sts-for-pro-football-hall-of-fames-2015-class

I'd love to see The Bus in there (Jerome Bettis), one of my favourite players ever. Built like a linebacker, ran like a running back.

I was privileged enough to see TD play in the flesh - a great player whose career was ended far too early by injury. However, I think that there are other who will get in there first and he might have to wait a few more years yet.
