Ravens just tonked the Pats 28-13. Don’t really know why but I always like seeing the Pats getting beaten. I suppose it’s all that Brady / Pats hype which becomes really irritating after a while. Belichick did not look happy. Ravens and the 49ers then

It will be the Bro-Bowl. Quite amazing that the Harbaugh brothers will be opposing coaches. Let's go Niners!

Ray Lewis is a prick, just look at his sickbucket moment during the anthem

Lewis flew to the UK last year to help the London Warriors, who work with gang members. He's many things, probably including what you suggest, but he's some character.

‘Your father’s not around? Neither was mine but I still made it’ - Other Sports - Sport - London Evening Standard

This will be a fantastic Super Bowl for the meejah - so many great stories. Can't wait, unlike in previous seasons when I've struggled to find something - anything! - new to say about the boring Patriots.

Both games were great, you have to take your hats off to the Ravens for handing a defeat to the Pats, who had an unbelievable record when being up at half time, around 70 games.

Don't think the Super Bowl will be easy for the 49'ers.

In the words of Wes Welkers wife: Ray Lewis, 6 kids 4 wives. Acquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay. What a hall of fame player! A true role model!

He wasn't aquitted he actually took a plea deal.

All very true. He could have hidden, or tried to live down to some brain-dead gangsta image, but instead he created his foundation and tries to steer others away from the path he took early on. Was it because of a guilty conscience? Or his foxhole conversion to Christianity? We'll probably never know. But a more interesting story than Wes Welker (and yes, I'm bitter because Welker left the Dolphins).

Our office has just set up the Superbowl office Pool at $10 a pop. It always gives me a bit more interest in the result if it’s a neutral game like this year. Did OK last year and won $125 on the first quarter result. Some of the Irish bars in New York are selling boxes at $1,000 each making a win pool of $100,000.

As much as I hate the whole Ray Lewis love-in I cant stand the 49ers winning, especially after some of the cheat calls on Sunday especially the roughing the passer on 3rd down which blatantly wasn't and they went on to score a TD rather than a kick return

Er, no. The questionable (not "cheat") roughing the passer call led to SF fumbling on the goal line, not scoring a TD. Do keep up :)

Looking forward to just over a year’s time when New York hosts Super Bowl XLVIII. Tricky bit is making sure the Giants get through to the final. The other two cold weather Super Bowl venues in Detroit and Indianapolis had domes - if it’s as cold next year as it is now in NYC they will need to hand out thermals to the punters as they go in the ground.

It was always said that you couldn't have a Super Bowl in an open-air stadium in a cold-weather city. Now they've set a precedent, what about Chicago, New England, London (I know, the time difference rules it out) or even Green Bay?

29 Quinn
30 Brady

On the team sheet was really hacking me off today.

Just googled it to find out why.

Brady Quinn is the KC quarterback!
