Love them. On their own or with chestnuts and bacon; boiled, steamed or sauteed - pile them on and pile them high. They're delicious and no more likely to give you gas than baked beans, or an egg sandwich or a jalfrezi & a pint. Unquestionably the healthiest part of the Christmas dinner as well.

According to what I read it is overcooking that can make them taste not so good. Also, according to Wikipedia, they should not be eaten by those taking blood thinning med. .....???

Sprouts always taste better when the frost has bitten. Par boil them, then saute them with a small knob of butter, chestnuts and lardons. You can add garlic if you like it.

Wonderful.

That is literally a toxic mix. If you’re driving on Xmas day afterwards, you probably need one of those hazardous cargo stickers on yer motor by law.
