well, let’s now hope Newcastle get the blues after cup final defeat and that they continue their current poor form for another month …
They're definitely not in the best of form and hugely punching above their weight.well, let’s now hope Newcastle get the blues after cup final defeat and that they continue their current poor form for another month …
Quite. Always looked in control, quite comfortable in the end. Well played Man U and if you’re a fan of I agree, good times ahead and it’s started today.United under Ten Hag are serious tings. Absolute challengers on all fronts next season, if not the league this.
Don't think we'll be drubbing them 0-4 again for a very long time.
Haven’t Newcastle been dog turd in all the few finals they’ve been in? Mid 70’s FA cup against Liverpool (?) which I watched in a bar in Spain, they were thrashed from memory. If we reach a cup final and perform like Newcastle did I would be fuming. They were abject, almost literally not a single shot on target.
Lots of hype and energy but zero quality and let the fans down badly.
…yes will be interesting how they react..i predit they will continue their poor form ..next week away at Man Citywell, let’s now hope Newcastle get the blues after cup final defeat and that they continue their current poor form for another month …
A little unfair. They simply couldn’t find a way through Man U’s solid defence who played well. They were just a better team on the day. It does happen you know!If we reach a cup final and perform like Newcastle did I would be fuming. They were abject, almost literally not a single shot on target.

You spend that much money and perform like that. I have no problem with the better team winning on the day but to barely trouble the keeper at all in 90 minutes isn’t acceptable in a game that important to the fans. Remember them in two FA cup finals late 1990s and barely laid a glove on Arsenal or Man U in eitherHaven’t Newcastle been dog turd in all the few finals they’ve been in? Mid 70’s FA cup against Liverpool (?) which I watched in a bar in Spain, they were thrashed from memory.
“Isn’t acceptable, money like that…”?! Are you for real?!! To win trophies you typically need to spend a hundred times the amount they’ve so far, over extended time. They’ll get there because they’ve now unlimited resources. You sound like the angry entitled impatient type who rant on phone in-s, and you’re not even a Newcastle supporter! Not sure any of their fans would agree with a word you’re writing. You spend that much money and perform like that. They have spent well over £200m, are you honestly saying you need to spend £20BILLION to win a League Cup? Really?? I couldn’t care less what Newcastle fans think. All the pre game hype and they get to a final and managed two shots on target one of which was a floaty header in injury time. It’s not about being entitled but it’s about a team performing better on the day, they completely froze.“Isn’t acceptable, money like that…”?! Are you for real?!! They didn’t completely freeze. Man Utd made it a hard game. Tailed off for sure towards end, perhaps naturally. Not sure where getting numbers from beyond making up £20billion as some wild stupid number, irrelevant anyway (see Chelsea). Point is Man U spent far more over many more seasons and have a deeper pool of talent currently ,were favourites going in with a rich run of form etc. They played better, doesn’t mean the geordies were poor, believed they’d win - you appear to have got a bone of contention about pre match hype. What hype? Excitement yes, and they had a good chance definitely. But Not one geordie I know or have heard believed they’d win. Hoped and wanted to, but that’s different. And I had breakfast with 6 of ‘em this morning and work in Newcastle too. Possibly a bit better placed than you to judging in a ranty TV way, with perhaps a bit of envy or bias too?!!They have spent well over £200m, are you honestly saying you need to spend £20BILLION to win a League Cup? I’ve supported Brighton for over forty years, the absolute opposite of entitled. However if we ever spent nearly a quarter of a billion on transfers and performed like in a final I would be annoyed .
