I always thought the same. Now they have a ‘non-Lerner’ owner who spends big, so expect Villa to do a Wolves and buy top half.

It’s not that easy though is it? Wolves were a one off I think. They were already a good team and smashed the Championship. Villa, as they are, are not all that and you need a strong nucleus from the off to make a big impression on the Premier League imo

I hope you’re right for Albion reasons.

My head tells me they’ll be mid table with ease - they already have about 20 highly paid names who are good players (many with top flight experience, unlike Fulham), and they’re a cocky club who will spend big.
