Know what you mean - I think Brighton would a toilet if the Tories had been in power during the late 80s and into the 90s.bigc said:We shall see.
I'm not surprised, the arrogance and general unapproachableness of souls such as Mr Bodfish doesn't surprise me.
Brighton is FAR better than 1986...but could be better than it is now.
Oh well, maybe change is for the better. The Clown of Pevensey Bay said:The Tories have LOST control of Hastings thanks to by-elections taking place today. There's no full council election there.
Well, thank you David Dimbleby.AdrianDINho said:Oh well, maybe change is for the better.

I'll go along with that. The Large One said:My prediction is...
The Tories will be the largest party in the city, BUT... Labour and the Greens (who I reckon will also make gains - albeit mainly at Labour's expense) will form an alliance to oust the Tories and to keep the council power.
We'll see.
OK, see yez in the morning. Let us know how it goes. The Clown of Pevensey Bay said:Yes. All thanks to you the licence payer.
Um, that's only 53 councillors. The city has 54.Lord Bracknell said:I'll go along with that.
My official prediction of the outcome for Brighton & Hove:-
[number of councillors]
Conservatives 22
Labour 17
Green Party 11
Liberal Democrats 2
Brighton and Hove Independents 1
OK ... add one Tory to my prediction. The Large One said:Um, that's only 53 councillors. The city has 54.
The City Council's website says the Tories have 19 seats. The BBC say it's 20.
Right you are.Lord Bracknell said:OK ... add one Tory to my prediction.
