Getting nervous now, just don't a 20 min run in the gym to test me foot, I've got plantar feciitis or however you spell it, basically a pulled muscle in my foot! Seems ok, but tomorrows going to be hell

I do like how the chip in on your race number. Saves tying it to my shoe

I just hate wearing the bib in general, maybe I've pinned it on wrong but it seems so loose and afraid of it getting caught in the wind! Just feels off-outting as its not "normal" but remember feeling this every year and it never being an issue.

Did a 5 mile run this morning along the seafront, including the last 3 miles of the course...getting very excited...they've set up rows of temporary seating along the finish line this year, and its all very busy-busy from the wheel onwards.

Just sitting and relaxing for the rest of the day, couldn't get to sleep last night but making sure to go to bed early tonight.

Being lazy today. Went for a walk earlier. Might do again later if it stops raining. Can't imagine right now how it's going to reach 18C by tomorrow but there you go.

REMF sponsorship up to £1953. Anyone feel like nudging me closer to £2000? :)

Had to defer this year - a little relieved but mostly gutted that I had done all the training - good luck to all - next year will definately be my last one!

The weather is RUBBISH today, I find it hard to believe it's going to be nice tomorrow, but apparently so.

Will put a fiver in now. I'm sure you'll reach £2000. Will keep an eye out for you as I'm looking for about the 5 hour mark too.

Good luck to those running tomorrow. I was lucky to run the 2011 Brighton Marathon and I can honestly say...it's been one of my life achievements and best memories for me. I won't lie, some of the miles are hard work and becomes mind over matter, but you can't beat that feeling of running down the beachfront from Hove, its a wonderful and uplifting experience, hearing total strangers cheering you on.
When you're struggling through the pain and mental barriers...just give yourself little personal goals and motivate yourself to get thought those last few miles. That moment you cross the finishing line is a priceless experience...savour that moment and you'll be part of a very exclusive club of people who will have completed a run of 26.2 miles long.

Good luck people and enjoy the day. Make sure you have your name printed on your running shirt, as its makes a massive difference to hear a total stranger shouting motivational words to you, when you're really struggling.

I know this seems completely insane to ask, but can anyone that has registered for the 2014 Marathon please confirm the date for me? I had heard murmors of the 6th but that would be a week earlier than normal?

Good luck and best wishes to all who are taking part tomorrow. Should you be raising money on behalf of the REMF, your own chosen charity or for those of you who are doing it just for fun, .

Will hopefully get down sometime tomorrow and cheer you all on.

Feeling guilty.

If you're running the marathon tomorrow for charity post your link below and NSC will sponsor you. edna krabappel need not apply. I reserve the right to withdraw this offer when I choose but I'm flying high on a cocktail of cider, gin and 3 points so get in whilst you can.
