I thought Dan Harding did very well and, if OGH hadn't scored that great goal, could have got MOM.
I was dissapointed Robinson didn't get brought on, I thought in the second half we were cruising but lacked direction and he could have done a job. Why Lee was brought I don't know, I think he only touched the ball a handful of times.
Other than that I thought the team was pretty solid, Jones' final ball was very poor at times but he did, as always, keep running and put the effort in and it could be said that he had a part in the second and third goals.
I disagree with people who say Knight is lazy, he sure works a lot harder than Kurt Nogan ever did, now he really was lazy!
Benjamin took his goal well I thought and OGH reminded me why he is my most favouritist player.

Bloody hell Bournemouth were poor! How are they in the top half? Their passing (over any distance) and shooting ability were piss poor. They did give Albion an easy game. That said you still have to beat the opposition and the Albion took full advantage.

There were a number of great performances. I really liked the directness of Hart’s run and a great finish (Is it just me or did he score a very similar goal from the same position a few seasons back at Wihdean?). Hart was back to his best form today and put in a very good performance.

As for the others. I was very impressed with Harding and thought he acquitted himself well. I thought Cullip and Butters were solid at the back and easily contained what little threat Bournemouth had. I think Oatway did OK and Chippy had a good game. Thought Knight was a little inconsistent and overall did well. Benajmin was a good nuisance.

I feel first have we looked good and showed a willingness to run down the channels and expose their flanks. We also looked to try and keep the ball and not just launch it forwards. Second half was a bit of a non event, and the game was effectively over. We easily contained them and although they had more possession in the second half they never threatened.

Overall we are unlikely to get many easier games but it was good to see the way we did play quite well and took full advantage. Good to see the Albion back to winning ways and maintain the excellent home form. Now just need to improve the away form…..

Great result, the game was all killed off after 30 minutes, not much entertainment in the 2nd half but who cares, a well needed 3 points in the bag

I thought Charlie, Chippie and Harty were the pick of the players. Dan Harding looked very confident at left back, played some good balls into Knights feet and lumped it well down the line when he had to. Being away next looks like Kerry will come back in though.

I really hope that we don't see Mayo again next Saturday. Harding did more than enough today to retain his position in the team. Mayo could do with a few games on the sidelines and should be made to earn his place.

Bournemouth have to be the worst team i have seen at Withdean this season, even worst than Wycombe who atleast showed a bit of fight!

I would leave the team exactly as it is for next week, with the exception Leon who is suspended, i'd replace him with Robinson.

And ofcourse Kuipers in if he is fit ;)

And whilst I'm at it, let's make sure Watto is left out as well.

I agree that Harding should keep his place but think that McGhee may go for Mayo's experience on the basis that we are are away from home.

I think that during the build up to the first goal Leon showed just how dangerous he is even when he hasnt got the ball. The way he cut inside taking TWO defenders with him, allowing Harty the space to continue his run was masterful. They had obviously come here thinking that if they marked Leon out of the game we would pose no threat. Once they realised that we had other players to do the job on his behalf they didnt have a clue what to do.
The pass back to Benjamin which led to our second goal was hilarious though. Definately keep the same side for next week (apart from the suspended Knight of course.)

i was impressed at the way Harding played, he seemed to be able to pass the ball to our players for once and his throw in's were good too! it was good for Hart to have scored too, he needed a confidence boost!

Oh yeah cos that's worked REALLY well last three games.

Let's think to the future and give Harding an extended run in the side. He had an excellent game - and if the wind hadn't so unpredictable, I think he might have even tried a few longer passes which he can ping around when he wants.

What a fantastic victory, let's hope that cheers up NSC for a couple of days at least. Funny how whenever we actually manage to beat a team they happen to be the worst team ever to pull on football boots, etc, zzzzzz. We won today because McGhee again got the tactical battle right and made some great selections. Very few had been demanding the restoration of 4-4-2 and the flank players, but it was the key to wresting the initiative and control of the game.

Our midfield has been much maligned but showed what they could do today, and Chippy showed why he is our player of the season. Naturally everyone is delighted for Harding and he may well get more chances but one performance isn't going to weigh that heavily against, what, 7 years' worth and over 300. Does anyone seriously think we wouldn't have won 3-0 with Mayo in the team?

Surely the lesson of OGH today is you don't write off players who have delivered countless times before.

Delighted that Benjamin answered his critics (which included McGhee). The real bonus if we make it through the play-offs could be his signing.

Leon suspended means we have to go for Piercy up front, if fit.

I thought that what really won the game was playing a simple passing game and keeping the ball on the deck right from the start. Bournemouth lost possession many times in the first few minutes because they took so long adapting to the wind, by the time they realised the folly of their tactics it was too late. 3-0 is always a difficult score to come back from, I thought Bournemouth were reasonable in the second half although they lacked any finishing power. I don't know about the rest of you but I actually prefer a game that is a bit more even, the last hour of the game was a walk in the park for the lads, I would have preferred to see a bit more fight from the opposition to make a game of it and add some exitement.

A good performance against a very poor side. The most encouraging thing for me was they way we did not let them back in it in the second half. Bournemouth were really intent on trying to replicate the recent spate of amazing comebacks, by going at us from the kick off second half. However we stood firm and the cherries just fizzled out. It was nice to see us exert total control on a game for a change. Poor as they were, we did not give Bournemouth a sniff all game.

Credit to Mcghee and the players for sorting out the recent deficiencies. It was also encouraging to see Harding get his chance, I like the way Mcghee is giving everyone an opportunity (even David lee FFS!) When he comes to the decisions on contract renewals this summer, everyone can be sure they have had their chance to impress.

Nice to see how some competition has perked up Harty, his goal was classic OGH.

I'm feeling confident about reaching the play-offs at the moment.

Oh pul-eese. Bournemouth posed NOTHING by way of a threat. They were seriously piss-poor. We had two well-taken goals and a penalty in the first half, and the second half was dross of the highest/lowest order. Same as it ever was. It's easy to invoke McGhee with a wondrous set of magical tactical powers on the back of the easiest three points since Luton rolled up to Withdean and rolled over, but sadly the truth is it ain't chess, it's tiddlywinks. There was no 'tactical battle' and no 'control of the game' to 'wrestle'. Even David Lee coped.

I disagree, we do not 'have' to play Piercy up front. I would rather have Robinson in, he wants it more.
Peircy is very average.

I doubt if Piercy will be fit.

Maybe MM will just play Trevor on his own up front!

And yes that was very cold yesterday but it's better than being wet!
