Mayo isn't good enough. I've watched him from his reserve days when I was on the rock'n'roll and used to get in to the games free through the club shop. He's like that person in your office who has been there for years and never progressed. When you first start you wonder why, but after working with them you realise that no matter how long they stick around they just don't get it and they tend to be a passenger carried by everyone else and they have to work harder to cover thier ass.

Despite what appears to be evidence to contrary, I can't believe that McGoo could be a racist and have existed at any level in the football management world. Ron Atkinson was a bit of a shocker, but I can't see him thinning out the Albion until it is the only all-white team in the league!

I can't believe it's even up for discussion. Aside from bringing in half of the players mentioned earlier in this thread, McGhee has also brought Carole, Iwelumo, Jarrett and Santos to the club.

Fair enough, have a go at the bloke if you think his tactics are shite and his ego's the size of Glasgow, but to start accusing him of racism in an attempt to reinforce a point really is pathetic.

Thats right isn't it!!! cause all the managers we have had in the last 10 years haven't rated him and just kept him to feel sorry for him. Great comment that isn't it

Some funny things get said on here when we are losing but saying mayo has bled the club dry for 10 years is a discgrace!!

Put him on gardening leave, let Wilkins manage and it costs us nothing. Get CKR in and we win the league, it can't be worse

MAYO - Here's one. Hereford 97. And there wasn't just his own goal. He did his best to give away a penalty too.

Any team that plays us will attack down the right cos it is well known that we are weak down that side. He seems like a nice enough fella, but I'm a nice bloke too, but I would not pull on the Albion shirt for money cos I know my limits!

Not me that thinks the accusation is correct, it simply can't be possible that a manager in the football league could base his team selection around player colour.

I just think his tactics are shite, I don't think he's a racist.

What kind of comment is that?

we drew 1-1 in 97 at hereford and he was doing his best to give a penatly away??? you really are a twat if you think people do this on purpose.

Its got nothing to do with mayo pulling on the shirt. What is he suppose to do, Mcghee says to him your playing and he then turns round and says, " Actually boss, I am shit. don't pick me. I know my limits, I should really be playing in the conference"

And let the facts get in the way of a good public hanging? Don't be silly.

Mind you, the ref's name is "Singh", so perhaps he has been on NSC, picked up on the rumours that McGoo is a racist, and is taking his revenge out on the team? Time for tinfoil hats.

Is that better than just admitting we are a little crap at the moment?

Hendo is keeping us in this (well, as "in this" as being 3-1 down can be!)

I don't like Mayo and I never have. It is my opinion and I have seen enough to think it's true and there are plenty who agree with me. He claims to love this club, but I would be ashamed to pull on the shirt if I was him.
