Can we determine what the club’s attitude is towards the A22 proposal for a breakaway European Super League?

Can we also ensure that the club will not support any proposal that further erodes the cash handed down to clubs throughout the football pyramid. Equally, we will not support a deal that unfairly enriches the existing top clubs in football.

Will the club also permit any banners objecting to the European Super League being displayed in the stadium.

Slightly surprised PBOBE hasn’t come out with some kind of statement yet (other than repeating the PL’s official line) - guess the club’s position hasn’t changed since the last one.

Don’t think waiting another 10 days will make a huge difference to that many (and there’s no compulsion to buy). Surely more important things for the FAB to spend their time on ?

Rather than funding for more flags that are passed over head like the RDZ one (as they mean logistical planning is needed for its display) i'd rather we focus our efforts on flags that can be permanently displayed around the interior of the stadium like the Stand or Fall banner. Lets fill all the grey spaces and make the Amex more Albiony. Get the club to designate some spots for new flags, get Dogma to design them, get us lot to fund them. Simple.

Via FAB can you ask the club why fans are being asked to purchase tickets now for a game three months away at the most expensive time of the year.

Surely this Europa business could have waited till at least mid-January.

Of course, I'll buy tickets for my kids for one of the biggest matches in the club's history - but the timing feels unnecessary given the strain on Dec/Jan finances.

Why couldn't the deadline have been, say, February 1? Still a full 42 days before the tie.

The Sneaky Six want any additional money to the EFL to be split evenly between all 20 clubs, this will help preserve the gap between super rich and rich in £££ terms, but increase it in % terms. Some of the smaller clubs are being deliberately awkward, with a Championship CEO calling me on Christmas Eve to let off some steam, calling Luton a 'bunch of spivvy c*nts' as they are delaying and trying to reduce any increase in the interim payment from the PL to the EFL.

Meanwhile the PL is still using lobbyists to delay, discredit, deny and dilute the introduction of the Independent Regulator, using scare stories and employing the likes of the loony toon libertarian Institute of Economic Affairs as their attack dog. They are trying to bribe the EFL into opposing the regulator via the 'New Deal' in terms of additional monies for the 72.

Utter bo11ocks, sorry. Are you suggesting that displaying the words stops people singing?

Some people seem horrified that new home visitors, and even long term intermittent fans, may not know the words to GOSBTS off by heart. I certainly don’t know every word, and I appreciate being able to glance up at the board as I lustily express my devotion. At my age, I have trouble remembering my wife’s name, never mind the lyrics to regional marching songs from the Edwardian era.

Why wouldn’t we want as many people as possible to join in? Put the words up and let us all heartily sing along.

I am not sure why having the words on screen upsets some people.
If you know the words you don´t need to look. If you don´t, it helps you to join in.
I was at the Marseille game and joined in where I could but have to confess that I cannot remember all the words.
Should I be banned?

A date which would then encroach financially on the away leg ticket sales, and I'm sure someone would have a bee in their bonnet about that.

You find me one season ticket holder who can no longer go to the game, for financial reasons because of the timing of the ticket sales, and the point you're making might have some merit.

Luton should be doing all they can to help EFL teams, they’ll be back there soon.

They'll be back there with parachue payments that will give them an advantage. If other payments are increased, it could dilute that advantage. Or they may feel it could - even if not in actual money, it may offer another club the chance to offer higher wages than they otherwise would, making them an appealing alternative to Luton for players who would otherwise have helped Luton return to the premier league.

I'm on this thread to give a view to a fan representative on an issue which affects me personally - and which, judging by the responses here and elsewhere, affects others too.

And you've come here to reply to me again - as you've already done on another thread - to dismiss fellow fans' issues because it doesn't impact you?

For once, how about you wind your neck in?

I'm sure most STHers, with and without kids, will find a way of paying; put on credit card or whatever. That doesn't make it right.

I don't think it's unreasonable to ask the club why they've set such a early deadline - surely the earliest tickets have ever gone on sale for an Albion match, and seemingly ahead of all other English teams in the Europa League.

Again, the timing looks unnecessary. Would be good to hear an explanation from the club.

If recent revelations regarding the Horizon scandal are correct then fans need to feel reassured they are judged within the parameters of the law, not based on a personal or club moral agenda or view that goes against the right to freedom of speech, ignores the courts or is affronted - yet our Police feel there is no case to pursue.. .

I disagree with this. It’s this exact argument which has partially led to the increase in anti-social behavior at and around games. Whilst acting a twat might not be illegal within the parameters of the law, and eradication might be driven more by club agenda, the club are well within their rights to act. Im
not sure of your point about freedom-of-speech but I’m very sure about the types who use this as their argument.

What I will say, is the club have a charter and numerous rules for fan behavior. These seem reasonable and very easy to stay the right side of. In all the cases I have read, the club have judged the supporters actions against this. That’s fair to me.

You’ve appeared to completely ignore the root of the issue and focussed on certain ‘types’. Reasonable is ok but consistency and transparency is another thing. I’d suggest an unwavering approach to things doesn’t always sit within the parameters of fairness.

In the majority of cases I agree with you, but some of the punishments have been disproportionate and inflexible IMO.
