Eurosport commentators have just spent half an hour talking about Frank, whilst complaining that they do not really want to. Why not just acknowledge what happened and get on with commentating on today's stage. Or...

Me too, Kessiakoff and Sprick, although Sprick's jersey is greyed out on the cycling news ticker. Any ideas why ? I've got no video to watch so far until ITV4 comes on.

No surprise that Chris Sorenson is in there too. I put Nicki in as I thought he'd be there as help or to reduce KOM points for others if he's brother didn't make the split.

Agreed, I suspect that a few of these are up the road to help someone else later. Sky are soft pedalling up the Aubisque, Cav still with the rest of the team.

Perhaps Liquigas will ride as they did in the Giro, driving the bunch over the climbs, and setting a pace for their leader to attack. It didnt work at the Giro but Nibali looks in better form than Basso did in May.

Sean Kelly saying that the weather will be a big factor today. Looking magnificent and forecast to go around 30%.

From what I understand, ITV will not be covering the Vuelta this year

That would be crap, it was very late deal last year, but the camera pictures were so poor, I believe Phi etc covering it were not amused.
From my experience in the dark past, its starts getting v step at the top gf Gourrette, CAV still holding on, makes BOX hill look like a sped bump
