Without wanting to open a doping binfest, how can you be sure he himself was clean?
Blimey Stoichy, come out punching.
Personally, I'm as sure as I can be, not because he's English, but you said it yourself.
He had his speciality worked at it, and to hell with the rest.

Well this is what's keeping me busy, my first ever bike build.
Sadly it won't be ready by the Champs Elysees, money being as it is.

I hadn't quite bonded with it, until last Saturday night, when me, it and a vat of T-cut, got up close and personal, while Wifey was at Glasto.

Now I'm becoming quite obsessive by the whole process, hence the 'me me me pictures', again I'm so sorry.
Back to the action tomorrow, chaps.

Ha! It's worth keeping an open mind about these things. Internet chit-chat but nonetheless, some eye opening stuff by people well placed to comment.

Anyway, I really think its a much cleaner peloton today than even in the recent past and I think we're in for a reat 3 weeks.

Contador being under pressure already is the perfect start.

I cannot be sure. He seems to talk a good story around doping though, and looking at his results down the years it would indicate that he was not doping. However, as cycling fans we all know that we can never be 100% certain. I just feel that the evidence points towards Boardman being clean.

If you struggle with the saddle, the rest of the bike will not be for you Stoichy, it was only £20 for a Fizik Aliante.

I know the bars are mahoosive, they're probably to wide for me, as well.
I'll see how they pan out after I've got the rest together.

It's the colour! Nice frame though. Post more pictures as you progress the build

You're doing better than me though - I've got a frame to build up from scratch but I might get get the bits over the next few months and pay a cycle shop to put it together. I'm rubbish at anything other than the basics and will royally screw it up

You should give it a go. I built my last new bike and I love it more than any other bike I have ever owned. These days I spend more time messing around fitting new bits on to my various bikes than actually riding them though.

The putting together is ok, as with anything having the right tools help.
We've got a little cooperative going, currently all my BB tools are with a mate, while I've got his cassette stuff.
I'm doing well from EBay, a shorter (Bianchi) stem cost £2, this weekend.
Plus youtube has all the tutorials you'll ever need.
Cabling it all up is the only thing I'm slightly concerned about.

Enough of this nonsense, back to the job in hand.

Stage 2 - Olonne-sur-Mer - Redon

I think today's the one and only day for the 'lesser' sprinters.
I'm not convinced Cav is on it (I hope I'm wrong), Thor and Farrar had huge days yesterday.
So as much as they are going to be in the mix, I think they might just get pipped by a 2nd stringer.
Looking at the start list it turns out I don't really know that many sprinters!, so I'll plump for André Greipel.

Come on Cav.

Cavendish if he's on form but I think Farrar might be good enough.

Doesn't look like cross-winds will cause any complications - should be a routine sprinters days

I think Cav has been playing a good game so far, today is his day, a stage win is going to happen for the Cav.

Cavendish always takes a while to get going - I can't see him winning today.

With the way the sprint points are set up now you'll know half way through todays stage who's on and who's not.

The spinters teams having to do 2 shifts of lead outs and sprints makes the final sprint a bit more interesting.

It is all on ITV's website. All though TBs suggestion will probably be more stable owing to ITV's continuing shitness.

On to today's stage, Cav all the way for me, with Farrar close by. Can't see anyone else getting near them.

Cav takes the intermediate sprint from the rest of the main field for 10 points. He looked like he wanted it today, fighting through shoulder to shoulder with Hushovd.
