Prime break territory today. This one should be worth watching.

Expect:
A huge fight to get in the break, and some pretty decent riders in there. Probably a big group too, 10+. Sky will not chase them, so unless one of the other teams does they should stay away.

Bets:
Got up too late to give you anything here. Could be anyone, may be worth waiting to see the break get away then pick someone in play.

I talked myself out of Cummings as 10/1 is just too short, so I split my last few shekels between Brambillia & Vuillermoz.

Been relentless so far, going to take its toll particularly ahead of tommorow's stage...

Direct Energie duo for me I think.

Calmejane - GC leader for the team in any other race. Climbs really well but strong in a break too, as we've already seen here. 33/1

Tommy V - Last appearance in the Tour and he'll want as much weekend gurning time as possible before embarking on his acting career. 66/1

Chapeau young Calmejane!, I knew you could do it

Immense ride today on a brutal stage of racing. You won't see many more better earned wins than that when we consider how long it took for the final selection to be made. Thoroughly enjoyable stage to watch from the get go.

Ned keeps saying Lilian Calmejane isn't a climber...he is Ned, he really is, but just good on the flat too and not elite GT GC climber...yet.

I think Demare might have picked up a bug. Outside of top 10 yesterday and now in danger of not making the time cut today. Be a real shame if he goes out of the race.

Edit: Just seen he's made the cut. That's a relief. Going to be a struggle for him tomorrow again though.

Only Calmejane 2nd year as a pro! Hoping tomorrow lives up to expectations.

I watched today's stage on French Eurosport. It's fair to say the commentators were a little excited. They were at fever pitch for the whole of the final climb.

Three whore's category climbs ain't gonna be a walk in the park for any of them.

In an odd way, tomorrow should be better for Demare (assuming he isn't sick) because the autobus will form right from the off and settle down. Today was just mental from the off and by the time the autubus had formed he was already way off the back.
