OK - You've caught me up but haven't solved 4.2.3. My plea's on the Puzzle Donkey forum have gone unanswered. I've paid £1.50 to dial a freephone number for this rip off hotel so I'm going to tackle it again - this time with drawings. I'm going to get my £1.50's worth if it kills me!

I've finally got 4.2.3 - by cheating a bit. Redoing it gave me 7 letters which I plonked in Google and found a forum where someone else had come up with the same letters. They were told the first letter was wrong and there was a letter before it.

Let's just say Gunther would approve of the answer!
