was that more than that other moron Nadine Dorries?

How the hell do you go from Prime Minister with a constituency majority of 26,000 to losing your seat in just 2 years?
Gross incompetency

Edit: and being thoroughly detestable as a person

Unfortunately, many of that outlet's viewers won't bother to look any further than this and call her a bad winner without seeing the next minute or so where she describes the intimidation she and members of her campaign team had been subjected to leading up to this.

OMG. Is it true? Is it really true?

😳. I just woke up to this

I fell asleep in a foul mood at 3am with the light on, still signed in to NSC with the polls saying she was over 20% ahead.

I’m in shock and just about in tears.

I can’t tell you how much we wanted her out here. ( I won’t bog this thread down but when @Bozza opens the Liz Truss thread again, I’ll post some local reaction there.).

We voted too Liz 😅

Truss’s body language on that stage. Arms by her side like a toy robot that hadn’t been switched on. Glazed and vacant expression. How did anyone of any political persuasion ever decide that she was Prime Ministerial material?

What a wonderful end to the night. Good night/good morning all.

She claimed she was the PM the party and country wanted, her own seat didn't want her.

They wouldn't have won, but I imagine it would have been a lot closer if they went with Sunak straight away

Not Rishi's fault either. Everyone over the last 100 years is responsible

Huge endorsement of centre left in this election, gains for Libs, Labour, Greens, PC etc
It was a bit of a rollercoaster. Even though exit poll was decent, the 13 predicted seats for Reform was disappointing, and then more so when they revised the Cons up to 160 and LDs and Labour down by about 10 each.

Got to be happy with the outcome with Lab, LD and Greens all outperforming the exit poll prediction at expense of Reform and Cons!
