They were winning by-elections even though the number of people voting for them went down. Early days but it looks like the number of people voting for them tonight may go down or at best flatline. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for them.I hadn't realised labour were so rubbish

Starmer has the lowest approval or popularity ratings in history of any incoming PM. And I thought you like data? Oh well.

I think part of it is down to the way Labour have targeted their campaigning - much like the Lib Dems, albeit on a bigger scale. They realised there was no point putting loads of effort into seats where they already had a very healthy majority, or where they stood little or no chance. Plus, natural Labour voters (eg: me) were voting Lib Dem in seats where that was the best option to stop the Tories.
I like a massive majority.
The Tories haven’t given a toss to their constituents in this campaign - Labour have been on my doorstep 5 times in the last couple of weeks, multiple mail drops as well, even this evening as I got in from work they were there in my road asking me if I’m on my way to vote- they also had a presence at the polling station - if I knew nothing about the election I would think Labour were the only party standing!
Obviously conceded defeat before it even started!!
Bizarre that a new candidate replacing Tim Loughton, who could do no wrong in the eyes of East Worthing and Shoreham voters in years gone by, isn’t pounding the streets fighting her corner.
No wonder Worthing is going to turn Red
It is OK by me if the votes for the other parties go down much more.
