I've been doing some calculations. By my calculations, keeping to "realistic" outcomes (0-0 to 3-3, no goalkeepers scoring) prior to the match day squad being announced there are 811 possible outcomes

After the squad has been announced there are 667 possible outcomes if you pick from the whole squad (excluding keepers) or 379 from the starting 11 (minus the keeper).

nb - for results where we score one goal, I have included 'no albion goal scorer' as a player. If we score more than one I did not, while teams have benefited from more than one own goal, I was keeping to "realistic" and I don't think it occurs enough to count.


The last few cash giveaways have had around 200 entrants. Even if everyone waits until the teams are announced, there are plenty of 'realistic' combinations for people to guess without repeating and be in with a chance of winning.
