Is there still a rough unmade road still going up to the ground?
My youngest son played for one of the kids teams approximately 12 years back, they trained and played matches behind where you have taken the photo.
The road going to the ground had large potholes and puddles full of mud, there didn’t seem to be a decent route for anyone on foot unless they had a decent pair of welly boots.
Yes the unmade and unlit road is still there - walking to an evening match is interesting! Hopefully will be sorted as part of the new ground improvements

Thank you.
Walking down the road after a 3pm kick off during the winter would also be interesting!
Thankfully I only went up and down to the ground in a vehicle and in daylight

3G pitch being laid, no home matches til spring. My understanding was no long term deal was in place re home matches, previous “home” matches were at Steyning or Eastbourne United.
Blimey....that's almost as daft as Crowborough ground sharing with Maidstone.

Wouldn't Newhaven or Saltdean have been a better option? Or is that too political?

Are you going Saturday?
Probably not, I've got a pop concert in that there London in the evening.

Blooming eck!

We've got them Saturday at Shoreham. Why are they playing at Shoreham?
They've played at Eastbourne and Steyning so far this season. They've just got Hawks best player Charlie Lambert on the books, god knows what is going on.

Not in Whitechapel
Don’t know where else to put this, but I know someone who went to the Kent derby between Folkestone & Dover last week and they had to be scanned by a metal detector when they entered the stadium.

I know they were worried about trouble but seems slightly over the top.

Small crowd last night to see Lewes beat Bognor 4-1.

Was surprised there wasn’t a bigger turnout.

After taking a first minute lead, The Rooks managed to make Bognor look like they belong in this league. Too many misplaced passes and a Toby Bull horror in goal. Poor lad.

After the break Lewes were dominating, but it wasn’t until the 87th minute that the second went in.

Great result. Up to third.

We have Totton making the trip up from Southampton this Saturday for the FA Trophy.

Went to see Slough Town v Dorking Wanderers last night.

1,047 crowd for a sixth tier match on a Tuesday night. Both sets of supporters had the mandatory ”bloke with drum” and there was a very decent amount of singing all evening.

Banger of a match. Slough ran out 3-2 winners after opening the scoring in the 2nd minute. Five goals and a sending off. Excellent value for £15.

He is good with his head, I’ve yet to see him trap a ball successfully, but I have seen him score 3 goals with his head, so swings and roundabouts I suppose.
Obviously he scored two with his feet after my statement. Bognor looked dreadful though, gave me some solace that Whitehawk don't look THAT bad this season.

He looked a tad carthorse last night, but managed to score a great late goal. Maybe it’ll come good. I’d have preferred to have kept Moore to be honest.

My scout said he's got Pippo Inzaghi vibes which strikes me as wishful thinking.

Saw Matty Wazzas screamer - fantastic
