Jolly enjoyable match. I was at The Rec for the Halifax match in 1992. I still have the last ever Aldershot FC shirt in the cupboard.

I think we're all in shock after yesterday ,fantastic performance . Onwards and upwards off to Montenegro for a week . 2 new grounds to tick off at FK Bokelj and OFK Grbalj.

Iโ€™m going to see a Dorking Wanderers game soon - anyone been there? They seem to be at least holding their own for now.

Look who Lewes or Three Bridges have........oh how different things could have been!!

Wow, amazing stuff.

I am off to Three Bridges for the replay tonight, with Hamilton - would be great to get Hereford at the Pan.

Small matter of Worthing v Eastbourne Borough in there too.

Have seen plenty of Non League over the last few weeks, especially with the weekend without any football whatsoever. Last week consisted of a trip to Erith where I know a few people who work for the club, where they managed to beat promotion favourites Glebe 32 in a good game. After that I headed up to Wealdstone to see them take on Torquay from the away end, which made me very happy to be a Brighton fan as the level of quality was shocking, Torquay 1-0 up in the 1st minute before not having a shot again until the 89th, luckily they defended well to only concede an equaliser. Great performance from their goalkeeper Rhys Lovett. Finally managed to get down to ground 216 to watch Herne Bay take on Ashford United in a pretty straight forward 2-0 win in the FA Cup, played at Ramsgate's ground as their are getting a new 4g pitch at their own ground.

Heading down to Three Bridges tonight for the cup replay, as I've seen every round thus far. Big draw in the next round against arguably the biggest club in the draw, possibly heading to Newhaven on Wednesday to see them take on Varndeanians in the SCFL, before another trip moonlighting as a Torquay fan at Wrexham to get ground 217 done, a very tough task against all the Hollywood money.

Burgess Hill
The Mid Sussex derby tonight, Burgess Hill v Haywards Heath. Plan to wander down and see if Hill have improved since the LA game.
First half marginally better than what I've seen so far this season

HH have taken their lump of a CF at half time. Didn't look like a footballer.

Fair result in the end. Their No 5 was slower than me - assumed he was a CB until the game started and he went up front. Hill going to struggle this season I fear.

Littlehampton
Just back from LA 1-1 Chi in front of a bumper crowd of just under 500. Pretty even game, fair enough result. Joe Benn gave Littlehampton the lead with a lovely finsh after great team move, but Chi got a deserved leveller after a defensive howler left their guy one-on-one with the keeper and he made no mistake. They're still finding their feet and have been a bit inconsistent so far, but it feels like LA will be around mid-table this season - which would be more than acceptable for their first campaign at this level.

Buxted Harbour
Crowborough 1-1 Lingfield.

Occasionally some football broke out but that was rare. I really am struggling to say something positive about the game. Both sides were awful, officials were awful and the usually excellent burger was crap. Did have some decent craft beer from Meraki behind the jump so I guess it wasn't a totally wasted journey.

My God, Lewes were shit. We left when the fourth went in, so at least we were back in Brighton at a civilised time. Awful.

Very glad I swerved it. Our non interest and performance in the cup is very odd, bearing in mind we have a ceiling where promotion is concerned, you'd think a good cup run with the media interest we already have would do wonders

Yes, Lewes were REALLY bad weren't they. Will be interesting to see about 500 Hereford fans at Three Bridges.

Particularly when the draw had been made, and Hereford at home was the prize. This would have been a real money spinner - loads of Albion fans would have gone to the game.

Lewes were absolutely clueless, and appeared to have forgotten how to play football. Russell has a real problem developing, I think. Confidence has utterly evaporated.
