The Engineer :lolol proper pub, probably my favourite in Newhaven, usually go there before Albion games ( distant memories ) It’s a bit out of the way from my house to call it my local though.
Prince of Wales also an old school pub.
Sounds like they did a good pub crawl.

I wanted to go today but the weather was shocking for most of the day, the Newhaven ground is a good 1/2 hour walk from home, I did think I would get soaked walking down there and then the match would be called off.
The match was delayed to clear water from the pitch apparently, the sun then came out and I missed a good win.

It’s a pretty good ground for the county league, it was neglected for years but money has been spent over the last few seasons to bring it up to a decent standard, also has seats from Withdean.

All leagues below the National League North and National League South now suspended.

Difficult times suspended. Hope folk enjoyed their non-league visits. Remember to come again.

Good place to drink during normal times before getting the train to Falmer.
The pub had a refurb in January, think I went in once before one Albion match and then lockdown happened :(
You will like it if old school back street pubs are your thing.

Well we made hard work of it 2nd half but won on penalties against Worthing. An entertaining 4-4 draw was marred out the end of the game by some ugly scenes on the pitch . Didn't see what started it but apparently a Worthing fan encroached onto the pitch after the penalty shootout. After being in control and 3-1 up we fell to peices once again with Worthing levelling at 3-3 before we took the lead again before being pegged back with minutes to play.
I see that just a few miles up the road, Lewes we’re playing at Lowestoft. The A12 must have been gridlocked with the hordes of travellers from Sussex.

Gutted if that’s true

Going to Whitehawk was becoming a big part of my new routine

Apologies as I may have jumped the gun.

Sport below the National League North and South is not regarded as elite. This was confirmed by the DDCMS. Reports suggested that it would therefore be placed on hold.

Not official yet though.

Obviously no-one will be able to attend even if it did continue.
