Wow. Unreal decision at Brackley (my non league team).

Last season finished highest place in club’s history. 2nd in national league north but lost in play offs. Lost three of the best players to higher leagues. This season level on points with play offs and six off the top having replaced those players with some from leagues below. Manager sacked. Unbelievable decision. A small part-time club competing with big hitting full time clubs with much bigger budget. I can’t compute what they have done. Idiots.

Romsey 1 Downton 3 att 100ish tidy ground ,hot drinks in proper mugs . Had a chinwag with Mark Dennis in a Romsey pub top fella. Steel Tank well arrived just after 5 no room at the inn . Had a first pint outside before being directed to a table inside . 2 more pints of excellent Stout ,plenty of Ale and Cider on offer . On leaving the owner gave us 3 cans for the journey back free of charge ,a very kind gesture . Worth a visit . No Shots game next week so hopping at Hastings or Whitstable or Southampton micropubs.
Hi @atfc village

I FINALLY went down there for a pint (or two). Busy little spot so thy are doing something right - although its never going to make them a fortune given the very, very limited hours they are permitted to open.

Should have been right up your street though - as it seems to have some kind of connection with lower league football. Various AFC Wimbledon paraphernalia around the place, and randomly hung by our table - a Maidenhead scarf!
