"One team in Oxford" indeed. I think there's a whole book to be written on people who are devoted to the worst team in their area – Port Vale, Notts County, Oxford City, Edinburgh City ... I really admire them but do wonder why they put themselves through it sometimes!

A very interesting club, they were actually the first team to base themselves in Oxford, before Oxford United. They were booted out their ground in the 80s and lay dormant for years. The lads I know who support them, are very sarcastic, they're there for the ride, and are incredibly passionate about it, all started from their Oxford Brookes Non-League society (the inspiration behind my very own Huddersfield Non League Society). One of the flags is actually just a list of times they've been slagged off on other teams fan forums

Not the greatest game to watch last night at The Sportsfield. Littlehampton had to work hard for their win against a hardworking Loxwood.
Not an awful lot of quality on show apart from 2 excellent point blank saves from the Loxwood keeper and Littehamptons second goal, expertly finished by Gaskin. The other 2 goals both came from the penalty spot.
Winning whilst not being at your best is a decent quality to have and extends the gap at the top of the table. Worthing U18 left back, Kyle O'Brien came on in the 2nd half for Littlehampton.

I remember the first time I heard of Oxford City – Bobby Moore was appointed manager, though I don't think it worked out that well.

It seems a few people were intrigued by the SCEFL division one side Bridon Ropes. Probably the least amount of facilities I’ve seen at a non league club, as they didn’t even have a toilet. A 30 minute walk from Charlton station, odd when you’ve been to the valley so many times, to just carry on up the road. They were playing Croydon FC who I’d seen the other week, who have my favourite nickname, “The Trams”. When I turned up the Turnstile was locked, so went for a brief walk around Charlton Hospital, 10 minutes of my life I’m never getting back… . Then when they let me in it was a very picturesque ground, with nice old style concrete dugouts. Game was pretty terrible in all honesty, Croydon FC won 1-0, and repelled a late onslaught from Bridon Ropes. The Croydon Keeper being by far man of the match. The club was formed by the rope builders at the Charlton British ropes factory in 1935, and the company was then renamed Bridon, hence the name since Bridon isn’t a real place. Croydon brought a hefty away contingent of about 15, one group which had more flags than fans, I think this ground is merely a tick, and truth being told I’ll probably never go back , very friendly people though, clearly passionate about the club.

No, you're right, they can't go up, again, due to the ground. If you want to groundshare, to go up, you have to groundshare in the season you get promoted, as well as the following one. So alas not local Derby, but Arundel should retain Div 1 status.

And l'm guessing that's the reason said trees and bushes are growing so prolifically . . . very well "watered".
