Unfortunately I think de zerbis release clause is less as shorter contract.

I had a look on their board and spurs fans very keen on de zerbi. He's definitely the flavour of the month. Would be a very risky appointment , he's hardly pulled up trees at other clubs. Why are other teams so obsessed with us now? I know we play great football on a shoe string. But most of this is blooms doing. I'm sure of that.

I would be severely pissed off of if de zerbi jumps at an opportunity like this. Especially this early in his tenure. May need a break from football l, it would be heartbreaking for our fan base
I would too, but if and when he does, I'd hope the club may consider Andrea Maldera. A bit like Arteta working with Pep, Maldera has been with RDZ long enough now to know the tactical set ups of this system and learned shit loads, to back up his excellent previous experience and if crofts stayed too, continuing on our current path and tactical game is shirley better than starting again with another.

Maldera may not want it, or prefer to go and stick with RDZ as assistant etc wherever that may be in future....... but if he would fancy a chance to a manage in his own right, he'd be worthy of strong consideration.

I don’t understand why managers trot out the old “got to go for it when the opportunity arises, may never get chance again…”

Bollocks.

Spurs job comes up more frequently than burger flipping at McDonalds. It’s hardly a comet, coming around every 300 years is it? RDZ better staying with us, more likely to win something with us, and then going to Spurs in 12-18-24 (MAX!) months when Spurs (yet again) sack a manager. Paul Merson nailed it. What trophies? They can’t hold a candle to their bitter rivals Arsenal or Chelsea. Big 5? Maybe if talking about egos. Or potential. But success? Nah. They’ve not even won the league in colour yet.

:lolol:

Seriously, a youngish manager supremely confident of his ability I think would see out jobs with good owners in a top league for a few seasons, not least to see the fruits of their ideas on the pitch.

Moyes to Manure, Rodgers to Liverpool, I think are examples where they had to grab it immediately. They were likely never to get such an opportunity again.

It would be great if RDZ stays for quite a while. I hope than TB and he have plans they both intend to honour and that TB is looking at summer transfer targets with that in mind.

Unusual for a player to openly slag off the manager? Will Levy be team Conte or Richarlison?

Richarlison is a cossetted moany little slag. He knows Conte is gone in a couple of months time, so he's quite comfortable running his mouth off now. He's another Bruno Fernandes - good player, but high maintenance and an absolute twat when he perceives things aren't going his way.

If De Zerbi leaves after less than a season it would show a total lack of commitment and loyalty (shock, horror) and be massively disappointing. At least Potter spent a while with us and earned the swooning from fans and clubs.

Add to the fact Spurs never win anything........ and other than Kane and Son don't even have better squad than us!

With that being said I don't think he will leave it would be far too big of a joke.

If DeZerbi left for Spurs, he'd be even more f***ing stupid than Potter!

Bit harsh, think he's done well so far.
Newbie alert!

Like United, Spurs have a history of playing attacking, entertaining football. I thought United were on the way back until Sunday and Spurs HAVE been a pretty pale shadow of their history for a few years now!

De Zerbi is a Spurs fans dream manager I suggest :lolol:

Looking more and more likely that a chance is going to happen.

If they change before end of the season can see Ryan Mason managing in the short term and then them appointing a permanent replacement in the summer.

Poch seems most likely.

I can’t see Levy being willing to trigger a release clause for RDZ.

De Zerbi persuading Caicedo and Mac Allister to stay despite 'big six' interest and then jumping ship himself wouldn't be a good look!

Because most clubs are short-termist and lazy. As you say, flavour of the month so as soon as they have a vacancy, they'll just look at who's in the news, doing well on a budget, and decide "yeah he's the next best thing". BHA are in an industry of magpies and vultures (of which arguably we were one when we took GP from Swansea).

I was disappointed when GP left. That quickly turned to anger when he came back and ransacked us. But if RDZ jumped ship in the summer for Spurs, or anyone else, I would just be absolutely devastated. I can't even contemplate it. I can only liken it to being Les Dennis, when Amanda Holden dumped him and went off with Neil Morrisey.

How do you ever get over that ?

Les Dennis tells a great Amanda Holden story that I recently heard.

A plumber was round their house and in walks Amanda into the kitchen

"It's the Grand National today, I was going to go down the bookies and put a bet on"
"Oh OK, how much do you want"
"20 quid?"
"Yeah fine, wallets over there"

On that Amanda walks out the room and the plumber turns to Les "Kids eh"

Eerily similar to the scene in Extras where his tart girlfriend asks for lunch money…
