It's another one of the reasons I was pissed off at Connolly's non-penalty - I was really intrigued to see how Maupay was going to try and beat De Gea for a second time in the same game from the spot.

Get worried every time he takes penalty. Prefer the Utd guys style. Only certainty is hard to top corner and thats what he does every time

He missed in the Chelsea friendly as well if I recall so his record's not great - making the confidence on saturday even more extraordinary

He's scored 9 out of 11 for us and Brentford (excluding the Chelsea friendly)

Agree with some of the posters on here. I thought Maupay's penalty taking in general are poor. He he doesn't disguise them enough or give the keeper the eyes. Yesterdays pen was probably one of the best i've seen by an Albion player. I have watched it many times.

Schmeical is one of the best keepers at saving penalties, so I wouldn't read too much in Maupay not scoring at the KingPower,
I think Maupay can mix it up but if Gross is on the pitch I would prefer him to take it.

Must admit I'm never confident with Maupay taking penalties, he always puts them too close to the keeper for my liking. would much rather he puts them in the corner or smashes them.

Not being on the pitch is a bit of a hindrance for Gross too...

Hit it as hard as you possibly can , low obviously, if then if the keeper saves it ,it's quite likely the ball will come into play again , sidefoot placement penalties are just begging to be saved .
