pasty
A different kind of pasty
DDW = 5 points. Would be happy with that.
We finished 15 points ahead of Wednesday last season and even more in front of Ipswich last season. If we have ambitions of finishing in the top 2 we surely need to be aiming to win both these games instead of settling for draws because we are reducing their point tallies. In the case of the likes of Norwich and Newcastle it's a different story as those sides are firm favorites to be top 2 at the end of the season. I was not referring to your mindset, more so the team's. I seem to remember in our unbeaten run last season we drew with some pretty mediocre sides away from home. Bolton, Huddersfield and a few others spring to mind.
Ipswich Away
Wednesday Away
Preston Home
Last year we of course obtained 5 points from these fixtures. By my reckoning we are currently 3 points down n last season (identical fixtures so far & substituting the promoted/relegated sides accordingly).
If we are looking at automatic, nothing less than 9 points then.
A hard task. If we can get 6 or 7 points that would bridge the gap & I'll settle for 6 minimum.
Ipswich - 3pts
Wednesday - 1pt
Preston - 3pts
Where we finished last season is irrelevant.
Teams that finished x many points below us then, could easily finish x many points above this season.
Last seasons standings play no bearings on this season.
remember 1991-1992 season
IIRC didnt PNE thwart us least season and we never do well at Hillsbro and rarely at Portman Rd so anything above 3 points is a bonus.
Worryingly Wednesday's last three games have been decided in injury time, gonna be a nail biter.
I am going for the full 9 though
What's up with you, Icy?
