Haha, that's not really fair, I have said a number of times that I thought it would look pretty good, because Nike do make good looking kits, and that is what I'm disappointed with as I don't think it looks as good as I thought it would, the sleeves are a huge let down IMO.

I was very scathing about the choice of manufacturer because of their poor record with regards worker welfare, and whilst they have improved over the past few years they still have a long way to go.

And I was also despondent as I knew we'd be losing our unique identity that we've enjoyed with kits for quite a number of years now. I guess this is a unique kit for us, which is sort of good, but it is a bit of a parts bin raid, a Frankenstein Nike effort, a bit of this, stitched to a bit of that, not even our own colour tick, but at least it's our monster, and no one else will have it.

Finally, we've been told this has taken a year to put together, really? It doesn't look like a years work to me.

At least it will be our biggest selling shirt ever and make plenty of money for the club.

Wishful thinking I reckon. We live in hope though!

I don't know of any Nike kits without an iron on sponsor so don't get your hopes up. If they change the print pattern of the striped body then we might get a plain white panel, but the logo will always be ironed on.

Or maybe this is the prototype, revealed so that people have an idea what the final kit will look like?

From the description on the club shop site:

Dri-FIT 100% polyester
Cross dyed “inter-stripe” fabric to the front
Lightweight rear and sleeve with contrast white cuff and crew-neck
Crest badge embroidered on to left chest
Sponsor logos as printed transfer to chest centre and behind neck

£45 for something that's not even going to last well in the wash!

Obviously I'd expect them to be the excepetion to the rule, but do Barca have an iron on sponsor or is theirs embroidered?

I didn't need an excuse to not buy anything from Nike, but the cheap, Sunday league-looking stick-on sponsor effort will do nicely, thanks.

LOVELY home kit.
Nice enough away.
Disgusting neon 3rd kit, horrible like the green and black away was horrible. Surprised it's so popular.

MUCH better than last year's. Proper stripes and no tinpot gold trimming.

Must admit it looks OK from the front but a bit concerned that the back is so different. I think it could lead to confusion for players, especially when moving the ball quickly, they will be looking for a stripe or plain shirt. Wouldn't be surprised if we see a few more misplaced passes next season...

I like the home and away kit. I'm not a fan of that orange kit though. I may even buy the home kit when it eventually goes on sale before the release of the next one in a couple of seasons.

Wouldn't the white of another team's kit force us to look for an alternative? But if the other team had red or black as the other colour, that would also mean we couldn't go with our first away kit.

Southampton played us in red and white stripes at the Amex.

Hehehe, see alot of good and happy reactions on Twitter and Facebook, show a half dozen mates the new kits who support prem sides and get admiring remarks... Enter NSC

I personally like all 3. The iron on style isn't ideal but overall I'm a very happy camper.

That slogan 'ONE CLUB. ONE AMBITION.' on the New Kit email. Is that new? The slogan, I mean.

If you google it the first link is to a Hyppia interview, if you google image it the second image is Hyppia again :). It doesn't seem to be a global brand slogan like that poxy 'AllInFor-insert club-' that Adidas are peddling .

Is there likely to be red shorts and socks available for the away kit, similar to how we had for the green and black away kit? I only ask because when we play Bolton, Fulham, Derby obviously we'll be in the away kit but the socks and shorts will clash their navy blue/black shorts?
