soft shell crabs aren't unusual food....they are fabulously tasty

They are LUSH - it does look a bit like the thing that comes out of John Hurt's stomach in Alien. But that makes it all the nicer.

I don't think I've knowingly scoffed anything all that unusual. I did have some WHALE, in Iceland a couple of weeks back, though I didn't know what it was until I'd tasted it - it was in a huge fish buffet.

It wasn't very nice.

I'm going back over there on Sunday, and shalln't be having seconds.
