Mick Talbot gives birth to jazz. Paul Weller invents soul, funk and hip-hop.

Music has never been the same again.

The Strokes- Is This It has got to be up there, as it led to a whole new wave of music.
Oasis- Definitely Maybe is up there as it was such a great album. But The Strokes are higher for me.

My Life in the Bush of Ghosts - Brian Eno & David Byrne- A bit of a cheat as it was both the first and last album they recorded together!

I see Jedward are about to release their 4th album......That's FOUR.....who buy's that shite. It really makes just question the mentality of some people.

Back on subject....One step beyond- Madness.

James Brown Sex Machine. Ok, not his first album but his first studio album, but in my opinion, the roots of the soul/ funk generation.
The Who My Generation. Broke the 60's " brit pop " stereo type of smart suited and booted bands.
The Jam All Mod Cons. Best band, best album, still love it as much as the first time I heard it. The foundations of my music taste.

Appetite For Destruction

Right from the iconic opening riff of Welcome To The Jungle, it set GNR on their way to being one of the biggest bands on the planet.
