The Met Police at the end

I can't believe some of the lawlessness I saw by the Albion fans. Why were they allowed to openly bring alcohol into the stands and smoke? Ok it's hard to police but some of the same people then threw the bottles and broke the seats. Sadly they're not just kids that haven't grown up yet, many are in their 40's.

Well done Edna and I hope Edward is ok.

Sometimes I long for the days when we didn't have to play Palace.

No, i wasnt watching our fans rip wing mirrors off, throw stuff at peoples houses and smash a couple of car windows not to mention all the aggro given to all the locals, including old people, who had NOTHING to do with the football at all. If you seriously want to cause trouble - cause it with those who look for it only.

Policing did look over the top so im not surprised they were heavy handed.

No you did not see that. Not if you were in the main lot held back. The car mirrors were done earlier on. Maybe you are just a "Mr Outraged for the f*** of it" No doubt some verbal exchanges, but the old bill had cordon off the road for 20 minutes, residents did not have to stand in their windows giving the finger.

I thought the Met were quite reasonable letting at least 300 Brighton leave just after the 3rd goal. Was on a train and away before the final whistle. However, they did break through the police lines out on the street which may have wound up the Met for the rest of you after the game.

I would of loved to see them try it at half time if they was in the holmesdale funny how they try start with a small block of palace fans and abuse the FAMILY stand cowards

Blah blah. Palace are so tough. Blah blah. No doubt you and EssexEagle would have comfortably taken hundreds of Albion fans all by yourself. Buy you didn't did you? Nope. You came onto the internet later to tell everyone that you would have been the big man if only you had the chance. You show all the signs of a classic internet warrior complete with an inability even to write basic sentences in his native tongue.

So im lying am i ? I wouldnt make it up about our own fans. I saw WITH MY OWN EYES our fans ripping off car wing mirrors and smash a couple of windows on the way back to the station after the game.

The residents werent "giving the finger" at all - they were just watching out of the window and who wouldnt ? You cant defend the actions of our fans so take the tinted glasses off, we had a minority of idiots with us yesterday, unfortunately it will reflect badly on all of us.

Ripping seats out, pulling signs down, wading through a gate at half time for a punch up, punching a female, throwing bottles on the pitch, abusing counter staff and stewards including our own, steaming a line of police, kicking off wing mirrors, pulling down for sale signs, smashing up a train carriage with innocent people and families on, threatening residents who have nothing to do with Palace! I would suggest more than a couple of tits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tits who will land us with a reduced number of tickets again for the next match if any at all. Tits who also have nothing better to do with this club than ruin the good name that thousands have seeked to preserve. What a cock.

Oh the drama. Won't somebody think of the children? Oh, that's right. They did - some Palace muppet thought up a story about some girl who got punched. Didn't happen of course but the self-righteous prigs on here have picked it up and ran with it.

I couldn't care less about the result (I'm Palace) after seeing a young girl punched in the face, I gave a description to a officer but if anyone on here knows who it was, report him. Time to separate football from life... any man that thinks it's ok to hit a 15yr old girl in the face is scum, and needs locking up.
As for damage to residents cars/property, sadly that is expected and possessions can easily be fixed/replaced.
Was travelling back to the South Coast with a few of your fans, 99% seemed fine (apart from being disappointed) apart from 1 fan boasting that he smashed up cars, and a pushed a old man over a garden wall, I was glad to say that one of your fans called him pathetic, and that he only seemed to hit things that didn't hit back.

I'd love that to be true, but she was hit. I am interested as to why you can be certain it's a lie?

I've just gone back and read your posting history. Strange how you always seem to be there when Brighton fans are playing up. It's almost as if you're making up stories just to paint Brighton fans in a bad light.

Not going to deny we've got idiots amongst our fanbase and it sounds like there were a lot of unsavoury incidents yesterday but from what I saw, the police were treating all our fans like scum.

Read the thread, I didn't make this story up.

The seaside.
Was it a full moon or something yesterday? There were also dickheads chucking smokebombs, flares and ripped out seats from the away end onto the pitch at the New Den, ensuring (a) Charlton will get a fine and (b) we won't be allowed the Lower Tier in future. *sigh* Still, it all helped Met Police Overtime Day (every London PL and Championship team playing in the capital on the same day) as there were still multiple riot vans parked by various train stations late into the evening...
