Maternity Hospital Buckingham Road 1966. Lived in Brighton till I was 33. Still tell people from out of town that I live there as nobody knows where Shoreham is and [this'll piss the Shorehamites off] I still see Shoreham as a suburb of Brighton anyway.

Big irony, born about two miles from Smellworst Park in Beckenham. However there was still a lot of smog in those days (most people had coal fires) so we moved to Burgess Hill when I was five. It was little more than a village then but a lot more healthy for a bronchitis sufferer like me. My father was not into sports so a neighbour took me to my first Brighton game when I was 14.
