Tournament proper begins tomorrow and par 3 tournament is taking place as we speak.

My 2nd favourite golf tournament of the year after the British Open, arguably the finest course in all of the world.

I f***ing love Masters golf.

:yahoo:

Anyone had a flutter, the smart money must be on Tiger, he is so much better than anyone else, and I'm hoping he wins yet another major this weekend.

Paddy Power are refunding all losing bets if Woods wins by five shots or more.
Will probably stick a few e/w's on with them after a bit of research.

Has to be Tiger. Had a large wedge on him in January at 13/8. At the same time I also dabbled on a Tiger Slam at 25/1 which is very much on this year with another bet on any 3 majors at 14/1. The courses are Tiger friendly and the opposition has gone backwards in the last 18 months whilst Tiger has kicked on again. Mickelson can't putt this year, Singh is in decline, Els is a bottler, Goosen is in decline and none of the younger generation have stepped up to challenge. I've already made a large profit backing him every time he's played this season.

I expect Tiger to win at least two majors and see no reason why he can't win the lot. His form this year has been awesome and I expect that to continue in Augusta. I think he'll shoot a 70 or 71 Today and be a couple of shots off the lead.

Cabrera at 75-1 without Woods & E/Way
Couples at 110-1 and placed 1-5 at 16-1 (He has a great record round here)
and a Saver on Woods to double my stakes if he wins.

All on Betfair.

Couples already out of the running by the looks of it.

Being presented now on BBC2 by Gary bloody Lineker. WTF. So HANDY for him and his fit bird, being a short hop to Barbados and all that. Nice work if you can blag it

The event has never been the same in my eyes since the legend that is Steve 'Easy' Rider deferred to the wastelands of ITV Sport.

Superp start by Justin Rose but early doors.

Thing I like about the Masters is nothing is easy and a slight misjudgement costs you a shot.

Singh at 20/1 is great value

Agreed - tremendous each way value at 20/1. Only has to finish FIFTH for a payout. Much better chance of a decent pickup trying to back somebody to get into the first five places, rather than do a dull 5/4 on Woods to win

A good start for Tiger and its rounds 2 & 3 where he will come into his own and the others will start going backwards. Can't understand why he's 2/1 now and tempted to wade in again.
