Vine ripened tomatoes grown by the gods and sprinkled with virgin juice ? Only guessing that based on the likely price - there must be a reason for the high charge.

Mediterranean tomato soup with aged balsamic vinegar topped with a modern twist on the old favourite snack the cheesy wotsit. Accompanied with a range of hand baked rolls. May contain traces of nut.
Enjoy along with our carefully selected range of wines and beers, including locally crafted real ale served in a limited edition display container option.
American Express taken. £15.99.

Not crispy, it's the other thing they do with duck. Right ingredients but it's not a parcel. And no restaurant calls it gravy anymore.

Confit of duck - probably from sodding Gressinghams - with cabbage and some squares of hand picked, hand squared and hand over-cooked potato.

Edit: just seen your gravy point, was it described as a jus?

As an aside I'd like to see Meades Ball do some menu writing.

The first one looks like a bowl of black tea with Worcester sauce, with a deep-fried finger of fudge.

The second one is a small handgun with bits of brown papier-mâché dolloped onto it.

I can't wait to see the monkey-brain encrusted poppadom.
