It just gives the away team in the second leg an unfair advantage. Very strange

Away goals only come into play when the aggregate score is level. Both teams have had an entire two matches in which to get an aggregate lead.

For that final thirty minutes the home team has a home advantage that the away team can't possibly have. For instance, if it ends 2-1 to man utd tonight, we don't get 30mins extra time here, then go back to eastlands to give man city home advantage for 30 minutes to keep it balanced.

It's a trade off. The 2nd leg home team get 120 minutes home advantage, while the away team only has 90 mins home advantage. In return...

Y'know what, I don't see what advantage there is to the away team. If they win their home match 3-2 and lose the second leg 1-0, where's the advantage?

Good on Van Der Sar for getting in the way

:clap2:
And then looking into the crowd and having a go at them, spot on that was. Spot on. Pathetic children. Not sure why Bellamy was shouting at Ferdinand afterwards though, that was quite amusing.

Ironic they score straight after the fans pelting Bellamy with coins and whatnot!

Indeed.

I think Rio was telling Bellamy to stop making a meal of things. Bellamy quite rightly gave him a mouthful. Having said that, I am not sure why Bellamy had to go to ground, but perhaps the simulating was to draw attention to the crime.

Either way, I think the ref should have stopped the game for a little while until the perpetrators were flushed out. Someone must have seen people throwing things.

Was he? If so, Rio was a bit of a prat for that. But he wouldn't have been able to see he'd been hit by a coin. Not too difficult to work out when there are bottles and whatnot lying next to the chap. Shocking behaviour, there's nothing wrong with giving the corner taker a load of stick, that's fair enough. But to pelt with him coins and bottles... jesus. That's just wrong. Ok, so it's no pigs head (Luis Figo's face after that! :lolol: ), but it's not on.

Noone would grass them up though, and after that coin had been thrown it opened the floodgates and all sorts of rubbish was being thrown. Massive sheep factor going on there.
